Hi all

 

I have sent my S.A.R off to the trinity rd address, I know they have received it as they cashed the cheque on the 8th November . I havent received any statements yet , how long should I leave it before I contact them to ask where my statements are and is it better to go to my local branch, phone or email ?

they have 40 calender days from the date they recieved your S.A.R.maybe a bit soon to contact them

zzharia I would spend the time looking around the site so you know what the halifax are likely to throw at you. There is also the chance that it wont take 40 days for them to respond to you.

Still havent heard anything, havent had one statement sent yet

dont worry busy time for them all these people who are spending for xmas they are trying to catch them and charge them. lol well they are slow hang in there after the 40days there is a letter you can send. Also you can estimate what your charges are as well

I sent my SAR end of September and they cashed cheque on 4 October. Still not heard a word. Rang them up and told them basically that the service was appalling and I was reporting them to the Data Protection People. Their response - you will have your statements ASAP. Was that a pig that just flew past!!!!!!!!

I received a letter from the halifax saying my statements would follow shortly. I have received most but not all, January 06-October 06 are missing. They have uptill the end of december to comply.
