Having visited my mums i have found some old statements and i cannot beleive how much i was paying PPI at the time. They date between 1996 and 1999 , is it too late to make a claim.I do not have all the statements, just some from that era. All accounts were closed many years ago, exact dates i do not know.

BarclayLoan 1996 Have the credit agreement PPI paid 140.72

Barclays Bank PLC Overdraft Protection 80p per £100 Statement from 01/1999 (Have Others) 90-02

Burton Account Statement from 06/97 (Have Others) 96-99

BOS Mastercard Statement from 06/97 69p per £100(Have Others) 96-00

Barclaycard Statement from07/97 (Have others) 92-01

Also A CPP plan from 1997 at £8 per annum

I never reliased until now just how much theyy were taking from me at the time, no wonder i never had any spare cash.

Advice welcome on this issue as to should i persue. Have put rough dates on when i think account were active

Many Thanks

there is no time limit at present on PPI reclaims.

ofcourse don't use a CMC

they have no more powers or clout than you.

it might well pay you to send an SAR to each lender

so one to Barclays should cover every account with them.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I have the CCA for the Barclayloan will do a questionaire and send off so can get that one in motion,

Will send out the SAR for the others.

Along with CC charges to reclaim and chasing up Virgin media for monies due after contract cancellations a few busy months ahead.

Finally going to get my financies sorted and hopefully get a few quid to help pay off my DMP

But won't the companies involved just say they only keep 6 years worth of data

and refuse to supply you with details of anything that's really old?

I mean, why would they give you this info if they don't need to keep old agreements..

. I bet they are all clearing out their archives like mad... TB

PS CPP are very good... just write to them with the policy number and they will reimburse you... you don't need a SAR:-D

we know creditors keep info back into the 1990's and beyond

esp Barclays and their microfiche system.

read other threads on PPI with BC and you'll see

not strictly no

but ofcourse 1000's of claims

and many of those are instigated by these banks and say Lloyds

and well outside of 6yrs

proves they do.

the issue here is the CCL stuff

the banks want to close claims down

and invoke the 3yrs limit

so are trawling old data

and writing letters

and that shows they do have the info
