After a couple of months of watching this site I have finally plucked up the courage to go through the motions. I have just typed up my DPA request. I presume it is sent to my branch manager.

I am ready for this to go all the way and feel confident that I will reclaim four years worth of charges.

I will keep you all informed so that we can all learn from my case and force those banks into a corner.

Wish me luck!

Well, finally bit the bullet and taken the bull by the horns! I have sent my DPA request to my local branch manager today.

The question now is do I leave it for forty days or do I send a follow up letter. I did send it by registered post.

Feeling a little nervous but also empowered!

Evening!

I chased mine after 14 calender days. Again by RD.

Suggest you do the same. It does take a few days for the letter to get to the processing unit in B'ham and for them to request the information or find the time to gather the info and screen print. (I can't work out which one it is!)

If you still have no joy after 21 days, come back and I can give you a number for the lady who sent me my stuff.

Just remember the longer it takes the more pennies they owe you!
