I'd just write back and say it was a mistake. You're involved in more than one case (you are, aren't you) and you added that wording to their letter in error.

Are you claiming back more than 6 years?

Sorry Tracey I should have pointed out this part should be removed due to the stage you were at, I have now edited so no-one else does the same.

I think a brief letter as Westy has stated should be suffice to sort this out.

At the end of the day it was only a letter declining their offer so it should in no way have any repricussions on your claim.

Deller what do you think of this

Dear Cobbetts,

Thank you for your letter dated 12th December 2006.

Please accept my apologies for my letter dated 07th December, the first two paragraphs should have been omitted. The paragraphs were left in by error as I am pursuing a claim elsewhere. These paragraphs do not apply to Natwest, and have no bearing on the case.

Then i go on to say thanks but no thanks

Should be fine Tracey, like I've already stated, the initiall letter sent should have no bearing on your claim but at least by sending this you have informed them of the mistake.

I haven't, either, and their defence is due 28th. Some people get an offer, some don't, some get two or three and some simply get paid out.

So no need to worry.

well words fail me, arrived home to find letter..reading..

Followng presentation of items guaranteed for payment againstyour account unarranged borrowing has arisen.

Under the circumstances we would ask you to refrain from issuing any further items.

Please telephone us as a matter of urgency to discuss

So i rang..kept my cool...had online banking open at the time, asked the lady who spoke what they were playing at?

She replied well you must of gone over drawn i asked her to look and she went quiet.

Reason for this was......

Yes my account was in credit and wasnt overdrawn ....

I kindly asked her to put on her notepad that i had called and if i was harassed again i would mention it in court she then bid me a good evening.

Conversation ended..

i Know what you mean HSBC offered me a mortgage all I had to do was suplpy payslips and have a valuation done - at the same I was claimignmy charges back from them - guess what happened.......

Had phone call from them last week saying the offere had been with drawn due to internal credit scoring!!!

Which is funny as I had passed both internal and external credit scoring around 6 weeks ago!!!!!

Nothing to do with charges then eh!!
