Halifax PPI Claim

I had a credit card years ago with the halifax, how do I find out what the policy number was and if I have a case? Help would be much appreciated on this one. Does anyone know any good companies or should I try and do this on my own?

you DONT need the PPI policy number to claim!!

Why would you want to use a company when they will do nothing for you that you cannot do for yourself AND charge you 30% plus for the privilege?

 

What are your reasons for believing you were mis-sold?

Based on my experience, send the SAR "signed for". And be prepared for them to drag their feet, lose the letter etc. Generally they will need bumping along.

 

Sadly, it seems the first line of defence for big business in a PPI claim is procrastination.

Thanks for the strong words of advice. I have had a look around the net and these companies basically do the same as I can do. I will write to them myself and see what happens. Failing that I can always revert back to one of these companies. I will keep you all posted.

No no no no no....you should not even consider going anywhere near a reclaim company.

 

If it gets a bit bumpy then stick at it yourself. There is never ANY reason to use a claim company.

 

Get that SAR off as advised earlier.

Thanks, I have just written my SAR letter now and will be sending first thing tomorrow morning. Will keep everyone posted on how it goes. Thanks for the help!
