The sales of goods act is only limited by the Statute of Limitations act (6 years). The goods must last a reasonable amount of time this will be at least 3 years for the item you are describing, tell them your not claiming under the warranty but under your legal statutory rights and they must either replace or repair the item within a reasonable amount of time.

Don't take no for an answer (they can ask you to get an independent engineers report though)

prob dish has moved or a cable issue?

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

i would have thought after one year and 20 days

What did they do? Replace it with gold cable? :|

To be fair, that isn't a bad price considering cable and labour costs. Unforunately, cable would never be covered as it can fail for many reasons (mainly water ingress)

It may be that your old cable had a slight nick in it. That is enough to let water in and corrode the braiding and that means no signal

If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.

Everything I say is opinion only. If you are unsure on any comment made, you should see a qualified solicitor
