Afternoon lovely people, i have a quick question about card companies putting up your APR.

As i understand it, they now have to give you a period of time whereby you can opt out of the rise and pay off the card at the current rate but the account is unusable.

What about as in my case, i have a card that has a fixed rate of x.x% for 5 years? When that ends will i get the chance to stay on that rate but close the line of credit or will it be hiked to whatever they feel like first before they give me the opportunity.

I havent seen this mentioned before so maybe its just me being dim.
