Sorry if posting in wrong place,

I recieved a letter about a outstanding debt of a very small amount under £25, stating they had registered a default against my credit rating  i knew nothing about this debt and after contacting the company and getting the information i payed the debt which i did owe.

now the question is from my understadn a default is a bad thing to have on your credit rating has it can go against any further requests for credit is there any way to remove this from my rating, it seems stupid to recieve this over such a trivail amount which i didnt even know about.

Many thanks

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
