Hi All

Like you all I have been taken to the cleaners over the last 5 years in charges from the Halifax! They bounced a cheque once because i was 23 pence under even though a cheque of £350 was due to clear the following day. Unfortunately my credit rating is poor and they were the only bank to accept me!

I posted the initial Data Protection Request on Friday 24th March by first class recorded delivery.

I will keep you posted on developments!!

Good luck glennsterblue - is the Halifax your existing bank, or have you since moved?

If this is still your main account, you might want to consider searching for a new one now, before things really start hotting up!!

It won't be - all banks are the same at the moment and until we have some proper, healthy competition, they will carry on being as bad as each other.

You need to send the prelimanary letter first .

Luckily for you it's good Friday so you will have been unable to post anything recorded delivery.

Don't be. They avoid some, and fob off others. I got the fob off but don't feel any more special for it.

I go to court tomorrow to file my claim - we've all had the feeling that we might be 'the one' - I rather hope I am.

Hi Madonna

If you go to the Ni courts website and create a log in its lets you complete small claims on line. The papers are prepared at Laganside Courts but you can list your local court for hearing (if it comes to that). I spoke to them today as they are serving the papers in England we need to sign a declaration of some sort. (They post that out to you) They also said it may take slightly longer to process.

You can then view the progress of your case online.

I am waiting now to hear when they serve the papers but ill keep you updated on what happens!!
