  2. Just to keep you updated. Filed claim online with NI courts 0n 31 May. It was returned to sign a declaration as if i win case and Halifax do not pay i need to chase them through English courts. Papers served on 9 June and they have been given to 21 July to respond. As yet nothing!!! So i guess i just wait hopefully they will settle if not off too court i go!!!
  3. Hi Madonna If you go to the Ni courts website and create a log in its lets you complete small claims on line. The papers are prepared at Laganside Courts but you can list your local court for hearing (if it comes to that). I spoke to them today as they are serving the papers in England we need to sign a declaration of some sort. (They post that out to you) They also said it may take slightly longer to process. You can then view the progress of your case online. I am waiting now to hear when they serve the papers but ill keep you updated on what happens!!
  4. Letter from court today stating that it will take longer to serve as defendant in England(Im filing in NI) Also if decree needs enforced i will have to do it through English courts and therefore it would be easier to file claim with English courts. I now have to try and get my money back from them to file with moneyclaim-if that will work!! Such hassle i thought papers would have been served and now im back to the start did anyone else have these hassles from NI when filing their claim???
  5. Today letter arrived offering £78 as a goodwill gesture. As i filed court claim yesterday should i do nothing or write and accept as part payment and wait to see what happens? Thanks Any advice very welcome
  6. Yiphee Northern ireland has moved with the times and we can now lodge small claims online! Got mine completed and processed this morning! Now just a matter of wait and see!!! Went downstairs and seen a letter from halifax on mat- bog standard "sorry you are unhappy blah blah " A little too late i'd say!! Will keep you posted!!

  12. Received my bundle of statements yesterday and although i authorised them to take £10 to cover costs they debited £5. Big surprise!! Totalled up the charges they only came to £340 i was certain they would have amounted to more i felt like id paid more!!! Anyway going to claim it back and am posting the letter before action today-recorded delivery. Will keep you all posted. MODERATED thread moved.. Can you please keep to the one thread when updating this is for your benefit and the benefit of everyone following your case.
  13. Yip just moved to Nationwide lets hope its better there!!!
  14. Hi All Like you all I have been taken to the cleaners over the last 5 years in charges from the Halifax! They bounced a cheque once because i was 23 pence under even though a cheque of £350 was due to clear the following day. Unfortunately my credit rating is poor and they were the only bank to accept me! I posted the initial Data Protection Request on Friday 24th March by first class recorded delivery. I will keep you posted on developments!!
