Hi

Looking for advice on my tenancy.

My house comes as part of my job, however I have no tenenacy agreement.

Where do I stand if I lose my job or resign? What responsibility does the local authority have to find me a new home?

Thanks

Marie

Hi,

My father in law works for the corporation of london, his job is a park keeper and he lives in a house in the park provided by the corporation.

He used to pay a nominal rent on this property to the corporation but when the "right to buy" was introduced, they stoped charging rent and the house came as part of the job, of course, if he left the job he left the house.

He has worked for them for over 20 yrs and is due to retire later this year.

The corporation are helping him to secure a council tenancy to move into on retirement.

So after all that, and to answer your question,

If you leave your job, you leave the house.

Maybe others can advise you better, but i believe the above to be true.

hope this helps:)
