Made redundant twice by the same company but now part time, will i get full time or part time redundancy? Desperate!

Hi I was a full time employee with my firm for nearly 5 years and was told in December I could take redundancy or take a part time job starting January 2009, in a different department. I have what i think is called a rolling contract, so it states i have worked continuously - but now in a different department. I was told that if i applied for the job i would be looked upon favourably. I took the job.

 

I have now been told that I am in a pool for redundancy again. If I were to keep my job though the whole firm have been told there will be a 20% drop in hours and equally 20% drop in salary. As I am only part time anyway this would impact on my take home salary so much that it would not be worth my while.

 

I have said i would like to be considered for redundancy but have not yet attended the meeting, this is happening on Monday.

 

My questions are as follows:

 

Will I get redundancy at my old salary or my new part-time salary? I worked for 4 years 10 months as a full time employee and since January 2009 part time, with a continuous contract.

 

If I offer to take redundancy will that affect my pay?

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I feel they have saved money by offering me a part time job, at a third of the pay, and now want to lay me off at a lower salary, thus saving them money?

What does your contract say, exactly would be best, that your working hours are and how is remuneration calculated?

 

If you are an employee with 'normal working hours' then for the purposes of SRP and notice pay it will be calculated on a normal week's pay - thus likely your new pay will be the basis of your current contract. Hence my original question.

I still haven't had a new contract. My first draft contract said i wouldn't be paid for overtime, but, that was an error and therefore was going to be amended but it never happened i never signed a new contract.

 

I have only been in this new position for 2 months.
