Hi mate,

I think you might be in the wrong forum but never mind. You do not need Buildings insurance as a general rule as this only covers items that cannot be removed. You do however need contents, however not sure about what it says in your contract with the landlord so I would check it. I was just looking for advice on my contents insurance and found this lovely little resourse on google:

Advice on Home Insurance: Insurance and Claims Advice for Homeowners, Landlords, Tenants & Students

This answered alot of my questions on interest payed to an insurance company when paying installements and also about tips on making a claim when me and my girlfiend had a little snaffoo :-) so give it a try, they have a lot of tips and pointers.

Cheers mate.

Paul.
