Hi all,

I have a lloyds tsb offshore sterling account, which I opened in february before coming to the UK (I'm a south african citizen currently living here on a 2 year working holiday visa). For the first few months my account was empty and unused, and during this time I was charged £7.5 banking fees, which put me on an unplanned overdraft. Exactly one month after I was charged, my first paycheck was paid into my account, and the £7.5 subtracted. I was charged £75 today, a month later, for being in the red for that one month. I find it a bit ridiculous that lloyds are charging me for 'lending' me the money to pay their own banking fees. Is there anything I can do about this?

Hiya Spoon,

Welcome to CAG :)

You can make a claim, to reclaim the charges. This is very typical on how they take the charges.

There are some links in my sig which will help you. Please have a good read. If your not sure of something, just ask. :D
