I've just got my settlement figure from First Plus. I took it out in November 04. I took £65,000 for the loan and £15,918.50 for the payment protection. The settlement figure I've got is £82,578.86. This is more than the loan and payment protection was in the beginning!!!! Is there anything I can do?? What would be the next step??

firstly post up more information on your case to reclaim but do not include personal details, names, account numbers, addresses etc.

If you believe you have a case to reclaim PPI post it so people can assist you.

type of loan

start date

do you have all the documentation? Consumer Credit Agreement etc?

The more information you can suppy the sooner people can offer advice.

Please do not PM me for advice as it may be sometime before I can respond.

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.

Hi

It was a secured loan. The original Amount was £65,000, and it was taken out in November 2004. I don't know about the CCA. I have a copy that I think is the CCA that they gave me at the time, but I haven't got the signed copy, they have.

Hello sljcats,

The first objective is to get all the information you will require, should you have to proceed to court.

If you have all your documentation fine, if not submit a Subject Access Request send the Statutory fee of £10 (best to use a postal order and keep the counterfoil as evidence plus no signature and no 5 working days to clear) You should ask for every little bit of data that they may hold on you in whatever format, paper, electronic, microfische, tape, cd or any other method and spell out that your require credit agreement, terms and conditions, statements, policy documentation etc etc.

Then you start to ask for your money back. Providing you believe you have a solid case for mis-selling. Please check out the links in: links

There is a lot of information but it should guide you to decide if you have been mis-sold PPI.

Payment protection | Were you mis-sold PPI? | PPI - rules before 2005

Payment protection | Were you mis-sold PPI? | PPI - the rules

Hope this helps you:-)

PS my claim is RBS not first plus but you should hopefully get a result over time.

Full S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) for ppi
