  1. Hi all! I am new here and more than a little embarrassed that I have got myself into such a mess. Anyway I have quite a bit of debt, around £8,000 or so and have recently set up a debt management plan with CCCS. I have spoken to most of my creditors and they have accepted the repayment offers. Now I have 2 agreements with lending stream for £164.00 and £383.00. CCCS say that out of my remaining monthly money I can repay £5.00 per month to one agreement and £7.30 to the other. I spoke to lending stream today to see if they had received the offer as I had heard nothing and I was told that they hadn't but even if they had they would not accept any offer for the £383.00 as I need to pay the first 2 months installments first and they will not accept £5.00 for the £164.00 as it is not enough for them to clear the debt within a year. I really don't know what to do here as CCCS can't up the payments but because I am on a DMP I can not pay them off seperately as it can affect my other creditors. Also I have a large loan out with wonga. The original amount was for £950 and this is now up to £1,386.99! They also say that they have not heard from CCCS although I have been emailing them for the past month (as well as a few letters and a token payment) informing them of what is going on. I was told that I would be called back today regarding this matter but this hasn't happened. CCCS has offered £19.88 per month and I am not sure if this will be suitable now with all of the interest being put on. I am really, really worried about everything and I am barely holding it togther. I know it is my fault completely and I have to deal with it but I also had a baby 10 weeks ago and feel like everything is just falling apart. Anyway any advice that anyone could offer would be fantastic and greatly appreciated. Also does anyone know if/who wonga and lending stream pass their debt on to and would I have more luck in a debt collection agency accepting offers of payment? Thanks in advance, Kat
  2. Hello all I know I should not have got into this mess, but I have so I am looking for some help (advice). I have managed to accumulate 9 payday loans with different companies totalling around £2k due to not being able to work for 3 weeks in September, due to a stress related issue, and was only paid SSP. To date I have managed to scramble together the funds to extend/rollover each loan at the end of every month and it was my intention to repay all of them over the coming months but this is now not feasible. This month however I am unable to afford the rollovers and with other credit card arrears, mobile phone arrears, other loan payment arrangement arrears, I am in a right state. All of my rent/utilities and council tax are up to date and all of the debt is unsecured, I have no mortagage and I live alone. If I rollover again this month my priority debts would not be paid. So with a few days to go (I know I have left it late) I have a load of Payday loan payments due to be coming out of my debit card, none of which I can afford. I have arranged for my salary to be paid into an alternative account so my priority debts can be paid but I need some advise about how I should approach each company and when. I have worked out I have about £235 excess income available to pay creditors and I will probably be approaching CCCS to help administer this. I need some advice on what to do imminantly as I know they will be trying to take payments from the debit card (there is £2.00 in the account), with no overdraft, in the next few days and I will get constant SMS, phone calls, emails etc. I did read in a thread that I should report the debit card stolen, is this neccesary? Thanks in advance of any help/advice.
  3. Hi, I took out a loan of £350 but just a couple of days later I was sacked from work. I had been on sick pay and may have been fired unfairly, however the fact remains that my circumstances have changed and I now have no income source. The reason I had been signed off of work by my doctor was due to stress so I am anxious as to what Wonga may say. I have tried emailing and phoning them but emails are not replied to and the phone is not answered. If anybody can provide any help it would be much appreciated, thanks. EDIT: Sorry, forgot to say, the amount I owe is just under £500; the loan itself was £350. Thanks.
  4. Hi all, About 2 years ago i took out a wonga loan. The loan was repaid on the due date and all was fine. 2 years on i decided that i would use my Wonga account again as sometimes these loans can be very handy even though it is daylight robbery! After contacting Wonga via email to reset my password as some of the questions they where asking i couldnt remember the response i got was to ring them and they could reset my passsword. After speaking to someone @ Wonga they said they would send the issue to Head Office for them to sort out but never had a reply. After several attempts I finally logged into my account using my old login details To my surprise when I logged in my account was showing that i owed £648 and my account was in arrears by 750+ days!!! As you can imagine NOT HAPPY! So after emailing Wonga on several occasions i finally got an email back confirming my loan was repaid on the due date. After a few days i logged back into Wonga to find nothing had changed. This has now been going on for 2 weeks and i am still trying to get a response from Wonga. Them having my account in arrears for the past 2 years has certainly affected my credit rating! I have asked them to provide proof that they have removed any markers they have placed on my credit files with whichever agencies they report to but I am getting no response and my online Wonga account is still showing the same. Can anyone tell me where i stand legally as they have seriously affected not only my credit rating but my life as this is stopping me obtaining credit for other things elsewhere A very ann oid member! Many Thanks
  5. I am so far doing okay on sorting out these paydays but still having a couple of problems: Txtloan and PUK - they have agreed to my repayment of £50 mthly QuickQuid - have agreed to pay it off in 4 installments which isnt ideal but cant be arsed with the hassle so i am paying Wonga - are not budging on my repayment offer and have sent me letters from Barker & Lowe threatening legal action Payday Express - have still not agreed but now asking for income/expenditure Lending Stream - ive paid them £50 allready but still have not confirmed repayment Can someone tell me how to deal with P Express, L Stream and Wonga. Also, QQ have agreed 4 month repayment and still have my card details - can i trust them to take this repayment only and no more (they have confirmed via email)? I appreciate the help - its been long and hard but i feel i am making progress
  6. Hi i took a loan out with wonga.com, for a total of £400, i have made a payment plan with them as i couldnt afford to repay it, they have advised me if i dont stick to this payment plan then there going to take me to the cleaners basically for a total of £1,500 which i just dont have, i have called 5 times and was told they would call me back with no reply from them, i have an 8 month old child which i need to sort out first as she is my main priority and i will pay them £50 to pay off this loan, they are not helpful and refuse to help me out is there any way i can sort this out with out being taken to court.
  7. I am unfortunately caught up in the payday loan trap like a lot of people on here. I have 5 paydays biggest with everyones favourite WONGA and QUICKQUID. Im struggling every month and thinking of defaulting on both of these 2 and paying the others because i never have any money. The thing is i am trying to improve my credit rating and dont want any defaults on my file, got 2 defaults which come off next year and hopefully my credit will improve but if i get another default now and done for another 6 years. I would rather get a loan to pay them all off but its hard when you have poor credit. 1. Just need a second opinion on either to continue paying these off, whilst paying extra each month and struggling until they are finished. 2. or defaulting on QQ and WONGA and offering them a payment plan (cancel card - stick to guns an all) If i did option 2 and offered them a repayment plan would they put a default on my file? Help is appreciated
