  1. Thanks Bong and Lateralus . . . . I thought it was a standard charge dressed up as something else !!
  2. Yep, if you 'run' the spreadsheet at a later date it re-calculates due to the way the formulae work in excel - you can stop it, set it to manula re-calc and then save, then when you open it will freeze and not auto update Steve.
  3. Hi Lisaf, I have a sneaky feeling this is a #new' way of applying charges under the recent 'cahned terms and conditions' as applied to all accounts by teh HSBC with effect from 1st Dec By saying they are 'notified' they can argue that you have had due warning that they intend to apply them and have by default 'accepted' them Which in my mind is all a load of rollocks I'd be interested to see waht the mod has to add on this also, so I await with baited breath for those who are wiser than us poor folk Steve.
  4. love YOU too 'babes' xxxxx
  5. Hey Babs, You'd have to go some to be like me - major surgery for starters LOL But . . we 'three# have something that is impossible to teach, your not born with it, you can't buy it and some will just never have it A WICKED sense of humour - for that alone, you are my ANGELS in here !! Love you loads XXXXX
  6. I don't blame you, that's what THIS is all about - getting real JUSTICE, a few grand is NOTHING to a bank like HSBC, they make millions of profit every year, but it would make a MASSIVE diference to the likes of us Steve x
  7. Hey Clare, This must be our 'sensible' thread LOL Just a brief note, I opened an account with Lloyds TSB, all beit only a 'cash account' but at least it's somewhere to get my salary paid into if the brown stuff hits the fan with HSBC Obviously if I get all my claim back (£3,700) I won't be in amess with them anyway (shrug) Talk about chicken and egg !! Hope your ok p.s. love the picture of your lad, loks sooooo cute Steve x
  8. Hi Laterulas, Thanks for the very helpful info, ok I'll try the 'nice' approach with my branch first - pointing out that I'm not one to be messed with as I have claim on the go at the moment ! I have a couple of savings accounts with HSBC, and also a ISA (sadly all pretty barren at the mo ) But although my account isn't actually overdrawn as I write this, it probably will be when I get hit in a couple of weeks time with £150 in charges + interest - how on earth they think I can ever get my self out of this is beyond me - incidentally I have a CC account with EGG, and they are bending over backwards to the point of being horizontal Maybe HSBC should take leaf out of their book
  9. I need some advice ?? Just checking my HSBC account, and yep you can guess !! Oct charges = £125 + interest Nov charges = £150 + interest That's £275 down the DRAIN - how on earth will I EVER get my account back in order when this is how they behave The question is "As I have a MCOL running, 28 days up on 14th Dec can I start a 2nd claim ? i.e current claim is for period 09/00 - 08/06 so can I start a 2nd one for period 09/06 onward ???? Would they be likely to close my account, if they did, can they close ALL my accounts, or just the current one (I have a pesonal loan account as well) I think I'll go bust at this rate !!!! sniff sniff
  10. Bong = 'her' OOOPS :o Ummm . . . I'll just go over there >>>>>> and hide I think !! Steve (very male)
  11. Hey Laterulas, Here Hear - about time you wrer awarded 'informative' status - well done mate Steve
  12. Well, I stand corrected by 'Bong' and bow to his superior knowledge, after all he is 'OLDER' and wiser than I (in here at least) LOL Only teasing Bong I'll rememeber your corrections for other future posts, I know the interest calcs can be very daunting to many members, especially if you have lots of charges going back the full 6 years, mine took a whole evening to work and check !! Respect - Steve
  13. NO post today Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Even my big box of help didn't arrive - what am I going to do NOW Had a snotty call from EGG this morning, that set me up for the w.e. nicely, missed last months CC payment, arrggghhhhh I think I'll be walking the streets this christmas selling chestnuts and shoelaces - unless I sell my body - nah that wouldn't work, all the refunds would make me worse off (thought I'd get that in BEFORE you say it) Hey Clare, hope Mr Clare didn't hear you humming 'that' tune in your sleep !! Babs . . . talk about PROLIFIC postings in here, you have caught up with me and are racing ahead now, can't keep up on my old PC, I haven't got enuff RAM (so I'm told) any sugestions ?? LOL Steve xxx
  14. NO post for me either today ((((( MASSIVE SULK ON )))))
  15. Hi Clare, Yep, my 'big' day is next wed all being well, then I can HIT that little ole judgement button in MCOL, but I just know that that dear ole DEBS at DG will scupper that one by submitting a full waffle charged defence and then I have to find another £100 taking my account even more overdrawn and getting even more charges - life on planet earth goes on, it's off to work I owe I owe, with a debit card and cheque it's of to work I go, dum dee dum dee dee dum (don't worry - I've ordeded help of amazon.com) I'm totally mad I know, I've been certificated, or is it certified !!
  16. Hi ladies, Just read the threads, was away on a 'training course' an attendance training LOL and it didn't work, cos I missed what was going doewn in here but WHAT a laugh you two ARE !!! I'm actually stumped for something witty to add at the mo - don't worry I'll recover I'm sure . . . As for the post Clare, the applicatio is in the post, I'm very interested in the 'other duties' part, is that after hours at double time ?? Well, nothing from DG this week, and my deadline is closing FAST, next wed is THE day, well I guess it's actually thursday that I shall be hitting the judgement button BUT . . . I just KNOW that they will submit a full defence waffle at the last minute to thwart (ooo like that word) me !!! Luvs ya xxxxx
  17. Ouch LOL hey 7 til 10 is only 3 hours, have they any vacancies ?, sounds easy peasy . . . and I'd get to annoy you - result - double whammy !!! Yours xx
  18. The only bit I'd add to the above is:- Example you have an agreed OD of say £500 and you are at the moment £490 overdrawn, so within your limit !! The bank will charge interest at the going rate, this you cannot claim back. ok, you write a cheque for £50 guaranteed by your card, so the bank paysit, and now your now £540 over, and the bank charges you £30 for the priviledge, so your now £570 overdrawn !! Right, you can claim the £30 charge and you can claim back the interest incurred for the (but only) £70 that you are over your agreed limit. and you can back dae this for 6 years or to the actual date of the event (whichever is sooner) The spreadsheet works all this out for you Hope this all helps !!
  19. Hey you two, WHAT are you like, long days my AR** LOL I leave home everyday at 7, sometimes earlier, and am never usually home before 7, and even sometimes 8 - thats 12 hours, just do enough for a good company hey Clare, your lad looks soooooooo cute, I want one Now ladies, back to bank boring stuff - any news on the western front ??? As usual royal mail are picking on me and refusing to deliver anything that even remotely resembles a letter from DG or HSBC apart from a 'nice' charges statement from them for November, yet another £125 down the drain Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  take care xx
  20. Hi Clare, Hey I like the new pic of your little'un - cool Sorry to hear that your gonna be 'poor' for xmas, that sucks - I have some choccie biscuits I can share if you want !! (I'd even give you my 'last one' ) When did you actually submit your MCOL, mine was the 17/11, so my 28 day deadline will be 14/12 (I think) but after what you just said I'm not so sure now !! :? I'll PM you later, when I get a chance, bit busy here at mo :-|
  21. Where I live they are, maybe you get all the 'handsome' ones where you are, perhaps they bus them in especially LOL
  22. I agree with Lateralus, IF they have been prepared to make an 'offer' then how on earth would they be able to stand in court and defend that they are not guilty ?? Surely making an offer is admission of guilt !! If I was you I wouldn't give in for £400, afterall, £400 is still a fair amount to anyone, and think of this, the bank wouldn't hesitate to screw you for £400 if they could !!! I rest my case your lord !!!!
  23. steve_n

    Nickm Vs HSBC

All the days counted in these proceedures are ALWAYS calender days (thankfully that works in your favour a little)
  24. Clare, Behave will you - everyone knows posties are ALWAYS married with 10 kids, dogs, cats, budgies and rabbits to support !! LOL x
  25. Hey Babs and Clare, My two lovely CAG women, what MORe could a guy EVER want in life LOL Just a quickie (yeah I know, but it's my age) NOTHING from the postie today - Grrrrrrrrrrrrr babs, I think he's bald, he may have been a gin'er once, not sure, he usually has a cap on, and he leaves his pony at the end on our lane (I live a bit remote from civilisation you know LOL) The pony sometimes drinks the milk that the farm has left in the churns for collection - he's not ginger either LOL Back to DG, not a diddly squat sausage !! I'm getting bored with this game now, want to play a new fun game - any ideas ladies ?? ;) Steve xx
