  1. don't remember that, must have been too busy building dens and generally running wild
  2. never heard of the year rule so hopefully it does not apply. And i think it would be classed as being actioned within the year anyway regardless of how long the payment arrangment lasts Also, it's a high court writ now not a CCJ which is bing enforced.
  3. Private Bailiffs cannot work CCJ's - It must have been transferred up to high court and been turned into a writ - I don't think you get informed of this but am not sure
  4. Says it all as far as i'm concerned stay away! You can get free advice on here - tomtubby is best for dealing with court fines
  5. increasing workload with no end in sight - next 2 weeks will be hellish
  6. The extra charges are rubbish They could only add a visit fee and as a visit has clearly not been made before payment in full was made then no fee can have occured. Just to cover yourself I would send an email stating this to the council and the bailiffs and ask them to confirm it - do you have email addresses?
  7. I never looked at the free gift bit - will make sure I do next time! Just got 15 different ones delivered so am OK for time being thanks
  8. just got a delivery and am loving all the different smells, also found out that my local garden centre is a stockist so shall be paying them a visit!
  9. This is the first instance I have heard of where the bailiffs 'remind' you to pay them. The onus is normally on you to make payment by a certain date. I'm sure the council would back them up in saying you defaulted on the payment arrangment by not making payment because you did not recieve a reminder call or letter. Have they levied on your vehicle? How many visits have been made?
  10. it's ace isn't it - have ordered tons of them from yankee doodle!!
  11. It is in the ownership of the law as it is buject to a levy it is no longer yours to sell unless the debt is paid is full
  12. Yes it's tempting, hopefully they will put off cats too!
  13. i'm going to try growing herbs and a bit of veg in tubs outside this year - never grown a thing in my life before and have managed to kill every plant i've ever owned - any tips (I have 3 incredibly inquisitive cats too)
  14. Thanks, just need to get the chillies and ginger - OH is veggie (I am not) and loves cauli and spices so should go down well
