  2. If you've got an autistic son, clearly thats a concern on his mind as the alarm has been switched off and theres nothing to wake you up. That explains why he was in a rush and didn't wait for yor daughter. The problem is being represented by a Shop Steward who works at the store who will always be close to management, so isn't impartial. Just because he can't remember if he paid or not doesn't make him guilty. Does look like the Shop Steward was trying too hard to help your husband. I would ring the Union and speak to someone at thier Head office. Just explain exactly as you have explained to us. This is giving the Store Management an opportunity to use your husband as an example, whilst an injustice occurs.

  6. I'd send a letter to the company stating the facts, send it recorded. If you don't receive a response within say 5 days and they haven't fixed it, go for the third party fix and small claims court. I would tell them exactly what you are going to do. It will be a pain not having the showers working for 5 days, but at least you'll have that letter to present in court.
  7. Your right they need to inform you before the call out what the call out charge is. It's a fixed charge so they know before hand. As you say most organisations record calls. You could contact your local Trading Standards or Consumer Direct. I would make some brief notes as to times/dates/conversations.

But a very close second are the employees the way they are treated always reflects in the companies profit. The difference is that customers can walk if they don't like the treatment, but employees don't have that luxury, they have to take the rubbish and that in turn can have health consequences.

  14. I don't think they are treating it as theft, it's 'non-payment of goods' they can't accuse him of anything until they've got all the facts. Everything points to someone in a rush who thought he'd paid. An investagatory is fine. We haven't reached a disiplinary yet which is good.   19. This is briefly whats happened with one MBNA account. MBNA VISA OPENED ACCOUNT 1996 - Account number xxxx001 I didn't ask for PPI, they added PPI - I got it refunded. Last statement received 1999 Account xxxx001 No statements received between 1999 - Dec 2004 for Account xxxx001 No Credit Card's received between 1999 - to present day Nothing to tell me the Account number has changed. Received new statement in Dec 2004 with new Account number xxxx002 I wrote a Credit card Cheque. They added PPI. PPI refunded. They also implied Account no xxxx002 is also Account noxxxx003 Would the CCA 1974 signed in 1996 still be vaild?
