  1. Reminds me of what Al Murray the Pub Landlord said recently, he summed it up nicely.
  2. Everything, but she said it would take 40 days etc, it would be quite a lot of stuff. I've got quite a lot of the correspondence over the last 10 years. But I think one of my backup has failed, so some stuff my be missing, I need to look into it.
  3. Sent HSBC an SAR, just had a call, they will send statements free. It seemed like they didn't want to send me anything else.
  4. Disciplinary procedures: meetings and decisions : Directgov - Employment
  5. Clearly your lucky to have each other.Tell him not to stress over it, thats exactly what the 'boss' wants. As you said he gets his kicks from bullying others.
  6. It's up to your husband what he settles for, so he is within his rights. From how you've described your husband, he's easy going, helps out in a crisis, mild and meek if you like. The 'boss' is thinking he can take advantage of your husbands demeanour.
  7. As I said it's a risky strategy, but it is what I would do. The 'boss' has provided the ammunition, he's highlighted the H & S issues. The H & S usually start by looking at the issues mentioned then do a through H & S audit. Thats the last thing the 'boss' would want. The 'boss' will just want shot of your husband. So your Husband should get what he is entitled to, but it might be an idea to tag a written reference to the list of wants, stop him being spiteful in the future. All your husband needs to do ask the boss where the H & S Executive office is? and when the 'boss' asks why? he just says 'I want to take the documentation to the H & S Executive', should get the 'bosses' attention.
  8. Tiger Balm - might help, but rest usually does the trick. Got any favourite food mum hasn't cooked in a while? that might do the trick:)
  9. This is a high risk strategy. This is only what I would do. The boss is using H & S issues in the main to reduce your husbands period of notice. It's amazing how these H & S issues have come to light at the end of his employment period and not before. I would get your husband to ask the boss where the local Health and Executive Office is, that should get the boss thinking. Your husband has proof in the letters he's received. Not a nice way to get things sorted, but the last thing the boss would want is dealing with the Health and Saftey Executive, as they can dish out fines.
  10. 'Penalty Fare' was part of the website address, I wasn't referring to anything.
  11. Yep, the sort of reply I expected. Theres nothing completely or utterly wrong in what I've said. Defending your corner I have no problems with that.
  12. How much does it cost for the train company to take the matter to court, the person taken to court clearly has to pay that. Plus, it's good for the rail companies stats. There are probably prosecution targets in place. I'll leave it at that.
  13. The FOS is a waste of space, before folks start throwing hub caps, just my opinion.
  14. They were/are responsible for the pump and dump of oil futures. They send out a note that a 'super bubble' will occur in oil futures. Oil future traders pile into to 'buy' oil futures chasing it higher and higher. Goldman Sachs release another note stating that a 'mega bubble' could occur e.g. a terriorist event. Oil future traders chase it higher to the price of oil at the 'mega bubble' level. There is a lot more to it. Oil futures is related to what we pay for gas and electricity.
  15. It was clearly CDS, apparently they were based on what David Bowie did with his back Catalogue. Then theres the UK government, their belief on 'lightly regulating the financial markets'. They still maintain thats the best way to go. CDS's were a bit like buying a lottery ticket, the odds of winning were huge.
  16. People shouldn't be scared to travel, if you lose your ticket, again your travelling without a ticket. Your in breach of the law as soon as you lose it. They will fine you straight away. Then you clearly have to prove otherwise. Another port of call might be the Citizen Advice Bureau.
  17. The lady has already admitted that shes in the wrong, she is willing to pay a reasonable fine. By taking it to court, the train companies want a bit more plus. The other thing is that this lady hasn't been in trouble before - so thats a big plus for the lady. When you write to the court make sure you mention that you've offered to pay a reasonable fine. That you have never ever been in trouble before. That the ticket office was closed. The ticket machine wasn't working. That you made a mistake, an error of judgement and thats easily done. And your not sure why the train company want to take it to court when you've agreed to pay the fine.
  18. If the train companies had a ticket machine that issued a ticket with just the time on it and that the ticket office is closed. Thats all that is needed. If a train is on it's way, it's so easy to think I'll pay at the other end, it's wrong but that does go threw the mind. There could be a big queue for numerous reasons. The ticket machine has broken down, the ticket office is closed. You are automatically guilty of travelling without a ticket.
  19. My point is that go back several thousand generations, what would Mr. Griffins ancestors look like? What would everyones ancestors look like? Unfortunately he can't deny evolution.
  20. MBNA is a nightmare. I went to the FO about MBNA opening a new account when I wrote a Credit Card cheque. They did it again. They basically do what they like.
