  1. you will probably receive a response to your first letter , but it may not be what you want, however some people with a similar claim to yours have recently been offered some money at the first letter stage, and 90% after the second letter was sent , so fingers crossed
  2. dont forget that you cant ask for the 8% interest at this stage, only if you issue a court summons can you then add the interest

    Hsbc

that sounds absolutely spot on advice, but no-one has actually ended up in court yet (hsbc anyway), are you hoping to be the first?
  4. the address if it was one from this forum should be fine, however i would stick to your original timetable, and post of your lba as and when that dictates, but i would personally send it to your local branch, as then you know that there wont be any confusion regards royalmail online, the digital proof (scanned signature) can take up to 72 hours, but standard confirmation is usually straight away
  5. nice one there, congratulations (usual , please do survey and possibly donation? ta)
  6. you can juicy, but i would make damn sure that you have a paracahute account set up first, as they will almost certainly close your account if you keep claiming your charges back as it very bad business
  7. ok just checked my mcol and they have acknowledged the claim, little help here im not completely sure what the next sequence of events is going to be (looks at spiceskull)
  8. are you not claiming the 8% apr interest then?, as you've only got about £70 over your original figure
  9. i bet you do, well it cant do any harm to add it to your letter, dont be surprised if they dont even read it properly though
  10. nay bother, anything else just come straight back ;-)
  11. hmm im not sure how it might help you recovering your charges, but it may well fall into the category of default removal by the bank, where the bank actually makes the said default completely dissapear, and not just remain on your record as settled
  12. it really can be up to 40 days im afraid, a lot of people ahve got them within 30 days though, so maybe you'll get lucky ;-)
  13. if you go to my accounts then your current account then click on my statements it will bring up the most recent ones, underneath that table should be a button which says "next set" click that and you're there
  14. as amber said, click the link in my sig for faq's alternatively you can read other peoples cases to get a good idea as to how it will actually progress
  15. yes sorry i meant dpa request, not prelim letter, anyway have they cashed your cheque?
  16. good luck, any probs you know where to come
  17. did you send the preliminary letter from the template library (with the £10 included) or one that you wrote yourself?
  18. no need to be nervous, as always if you're not sure about anything just ask, you'll feel a lot better

    Don Vs HSBC

best of luck to you, any questions, feel free
  20. a loan is a seperate issue to a current account, and if it was closed you would still be liable for it
  21. i believe you are correct, if you send to the head office it will be redirected to the correct department, then as soon as you get some kind of reply you can then use that as you're contact address
