  1. hi thank you loobyloo, can they persue it if they dont have written evidence. I am currently working P/T but unfortunately im paying off a lot of other debts too and really cant afford another debt on top of these. will they be able to take me to court? so far this is the second debt collection agency dealing with it. no court action letter but do get threatening letters.
  2. hi there, i was looking at some older threads regarding this and wondered if anyone had some current advice. I just received a call from Iquor/Igor debt recovery. regarding £680 debt for a crisis loan and social fund loan back at the beginning of 2006. I was first contacted last year by a different debt collection agency who kept harrassing me over it. I stated that i could not remember owing this debt and that i wanted evidence ie signed agreement etc of the debt. They then got very rude to me and eventually came back with a verbal breakdown of the two seperate amounts and what they
  3. hiya thanks for that!! i found some paper work where i had managed somehow to calculate it before. does 24.90% sound ok. its close enough?? jade
  4. hi there, im trying to work out barclaycard now for contractual spreadsheet. the statements only state purchase interest at 1.873% and ive typed this into v 1.9 spreadsheet where you can calculate the apr and its not having none of it. ..producing loads of hash key symbols. anyone help??

  7. Arrrr. am i supposed to keep it to only 3 digits perhaps? it was 1.7175% and i removed end digits to close it down to 1.71% and the APR came out as 22.56%. does that make sense??? anyone ??
  8. ok ive gone back to the last month a charge was applied. cash withdrawal rate 1.521% + Purchase interest 1.914% / 2 = 1.7175 % Ive tried to put this into the APR calculator and it wont give me a APR. can anyone help? and does that seem fair the way ive calculated it?? thanks Jade
  9. hiya, the account is with debt collection agency and am paying it off with them so havent got a statement for a long time. in this event which do i use? The last statement from when the account was active? Also are you saying that from the last statement i take the Purchase interest and the cash advance interest rate from the same statement add them together and then divide by two? . If this is the case the last statements are 1.914% the highest rate, but this wouldnt be reflective of the interest rate of the life of the card. jade
  10. hi there, to get an average interest rate would i add all varying rates together and divide by 2 ? Help. After looking over all statements the interest rate seems to be all over the place. Here is the list from beginning of statements to end of the variations (Im using the Purchase interest rate is this correct?) : 1.646% 1.625% 1.604% 1.583% 1.542% 1.500% (this stays for a while) then 1.458% 1.479% 1.500% 1.893% 1.914% As you can see over the course of the statements they vary a hell of a lot. so how do i calculate the average so i can type into spready and get APR. Id like to get a p
  11. Hi there, used vampiress simple compounded contrac interest throughout spready and these are the results. does it look correct to everyone? The onl charges i can claim are £60 as they gave some back before account was passed to debt collection. still paying it off but at least its something. Im going to be doing boyfriends with contractual though and need to get it right has he has a lot more charges then this. CLAIM DATE: 10-Apr-2007 (that is the date when im requesting payment ie prelim letter?) INTEREST RATE: 25.86% (got this by using the APR calculator from monthly interest of 1
