  1. Has anyone had their ' Cold Weather Payment' taken in bank charges ?
  2. Hi Pov have a look at this. I get free scripts due to DLA. Worth a try luv JB xx Details of entitlement to help with health costs and the relevant claim forms, can be found on the Prescription Pricing Authorities website here http://www.ppa.org.uk/ppa/hwhc.htm There is also a booklet HC11 downloadable from here http://www.dh.gov.uk/assetRoot/04/07/80/85/04078085.pdf which has the same information. Getting DLA particularly High Mob may mean you fit into one of the exempt categories. You can get free: * NHS prescriptions if you have a valid medical exemption certificate because you have: - a permanent fistula (for example, caecostomy, colostomy, laryngostomyor ileostomy) requiring continuous surgical dressing or requiring an appliance - a form of hypoadrenalism (for example, Addison's Disease) for which specific substitution therapy is essential - diabetes insipidus and other forms of hypopituitarism - diabetes mellitus, except where treatment is by diet alone - hypoparathyroidism - myasthenia gravis - myxoedema - epilepsy requiring continuous anticonvulsive therapy - you have a continuing physical disability which means you cannot go out without the help of another person. If you suffer from one of the specified medical conditions, to obtain a Medical Exemption Certificate, you must complete application form FP92A , available from doctor's surgeries . You are required to complete parts 1 and 2 and your doctor (or an authorised member of the practice staff) is asked to sign to confirm the information given by you is correct. If your DLA awards are new you may find that you are now entitled to Income Support as having Middle rate care will increase your disability premiums and therefore raise your applicable amount so it may be worth getting this checked at

  9. Well I for one will certainly let you have this damned yorkie for a seat next to Mr Cowell. My dream man:D ASBO, as some of you know, is inches off the glue factory at the moment but very good as swinging on the bottom of you legs, stealing slippers, sitting on the door of the dishwasher to help clean the dishes, and howling at anything within a 25 acre proximity. Form a orderly que for her please ! JB
  10. Hi Ady Welcome to the site. You will find a lot of help (along with a lot of humour)here. Read through the rules and regs first and then shout. Someone will come and help before long. Once again welcome. JB:D
  11. Hi Really pleased you have found your 'freedom'. If you go online you can also get a cinema card for £5.50 that allows you entry and also a carer to go with you. Go to The Cinema Exhibitors' Association Card JB
  12. Hi Perhaps someone else who was illegally parked put the ticket on your windscreen ? I would contest it. Good luck JB:)
  13. Hi I also got to the stage where I was fed up to the back teeth. I rely on my computer as am disabled but they would not listen. Well they dont deserve decent customers when they are not providing the service we pay for. Good luck with the move. JB
  14. Hi I had the same problems so changed provider. When I rang up to cancel my account they tried to keep me by reducing monthly payment and telling me the problems I had been having for nearly 3 months were due to the router ( that they provided) being faulty ! I would seriously look at changing your provider. Good luck JB
  15. Hi I have had one of these cards and depending on how mobile you are they can give you great savings. Also have a look at Cinema Exhibitors' Association Card for a small fee you will get reduced entrance to the cinema for yourself and a carer. Happy travelling:) JB

  20. Being a rather 'larger size up top'...... at a concert where scissor sisters were palying, I came very close to taking the first 2 front rows out and suffocating them when I was trying to dance with the rest. I like summer when the men wear shorts! I have come close to having an accident a few times due to 'having a good luck'!! This comes under my heading of 'growing old disgracefully '!!
