Hi all,

Unfortunately my Car has been damaged in an accident, the other party has accepted responsibility and myInsurance company Tesco has been fast to react. My car has been collected and delivered to a local repair shop. Now my problem is that I am demanding that Genuine Ford parts are used, as pattern parts, are as far as im concerened are inferior.

Now I have read through Tesco's terms and conditions and cannot find any reference to not allowing genuine parts, although they are stalling and fobbing me off.

As this accident is not my fault and the other party has accepted responsibility, am I within my rights to demand genuine parts are used?

I have a policy with Tesco#

In my T&Cs there is a clause that states that i have the option to choose the repairer, If you are worried about parts tell them you want it to go to a Ford approved repairer, or you want a guarentee that only Ford approved pats are used
