Hello one and all, I have read the FAQ but still need a little direction if anyone can help PLEASE.

First the accounts

Lloyd's joint current account

Lloyd's single current account

Lloyd's credit card

Alliance and Leicester joint account - closed for 18 months

What i have done

The two Lloyd's accounts i got all the charges back to 2002 from my on line statement and have asked for the amounts of £485 which is a total of both accounts. They have sent the standard reply to me which i have to send them another letter on the 19th giving another 14 days as stated in the template letter.

The Credit card and A&L account i have sent a DPA request and Cheques for £10 for each and have yet had no reply. Lloyd's sent 30 may and A&L sent 5 June.

Should the Lloyd's accounts and credit card be treated as separate claims or just one big claim.

As for the Lloyd's accounts one is joint does that mean the claim should be made by me and my partner and does that have to be separate from my own current account claim.

What should be the gist of the letter i send them on the 19th as i could not find a template.

If anyone out there can spend five minutes to help it would be grateful.

Thank You

Daniel

Hi Daniel and welcome aboard.

Should the Lloyd's accounts and credit card be treated as separate claims or just one big claim.

I would suggest that you treat the bank accounts as one claim and the card as another. Th only reason not to merge the bank accounts would be in the level of charges imposed was very high and would take you well in excess of £5000.

As for the Lloyd's accounts one is joint does that mean the claim should be made by me and my partner and does that have to be separate from my own current account claim.

You can claim for the joint account so long as you both have the right to act independently - i.e. that any actions on the account do not require both signatures.

What should be the gist of the letter i send them on the 19th as i could not find a template.

If you have another look in our FAQ section you will see the Step-by-step guide. This will show you what stages there are, and where to go next. Keep on reading the FAQs until your eyes go square!

Best of luck
