Can anyone help me please? I am trying to help my son claim back charges. The bank have just sent him a list of all charges NOT his bank statements. On this list he is charged a monthly figure for ACCOUNT CHARGE ranging between £4.00 to £7.00 p.m.. Is this reclaimable?

I understand he cannot claim for O.D interest but he can claim back O/D EXCESS FEE. however an O/D USAGE FEE has also been charged is this reclaimable?

I am very new to all this and although I have been reading avidly all the correspondance I find I am getting more and more confused.

I intend to use the simple google sheet to claim back and include contractural interest but I am not sure of the % amount I can claim.

Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you.

Hi

You can't claim the monthly account charges, sounds like these are a fee for an upgraded account such as a Select or Gold account.

You can claim o/d usage fees.

I don't know anything really about the CI sorry.

Good luck, let us know how you get on.

Hi pompey2007

I'm not certain, but I think you can claim back o/d interest if you can show that it is directly related to the bank charges made against the account.

Keep looking around the site - the answer will be here!!

Good Luck and don't give up!

Hi

You can claim some parts of the o/d interest, but you would need to calculate which parts on one of the advance Spreadsheets in the library. In a lot of cases it is not worth claiming.
