Hi

I am in the process of claiming back from Barclays but am getting bit confused by the court process. I submitted claim on MCOL last night. Do I need to send a letter to Barclays to inform them I have started a claim or will they just be informed by MCOL or the court? Also on my POC I did put the bit about interest (8%) but in the box asking for total I put the amount BEFORE interest, is this correct or should I have added the interest amount in here? Any help would be greatly received. Thanks Gillyfish

No you don't need to write to Barclays telling them that you've started a claim - they will know soon enough. I'm guessing if it says amt before interest then this is what you should put - but perhaps someone else can clarify - good luck!

dont worry too much as the amount is changing with everyday they delay in paying you what you owe.

just send a schedule of charges, showing the interest accrued to both MCOL and Barclays with a quick note asking for it to be added to your file for future reference.

good luck

The amount before interest is correct, technically the amount of interest is at the courts discretion so isn't included in the amount of your claim.

If in doubt read the

FAQs

If still in doubt - ask!
