soz forgot to add this bit hehe i would personally issue a mcol as you have already given the 14 days from prelim and 14 days from lba infact more than 14 days they are just trying to stall you you have sent them more than enough letter telling them your actions .

they haven't had the 14 days from the LBA yet, so I guess I wait until thats up and then issue the mcol.

 

seems silly if they don't get back to me for the sake of 80 quid!

well all through this and my lba deadline is this monday they have completly ignored me i got 1 fob off letter thats it my claim goes up by 1000 on monday sily indeed

Hello I'm new to all this and wondered if someone could help-I'm filling in the spreadsheet(minus the interest column) for the prelim letter but on my statements it doesn't specify what the charge is for i.e direct debit it just says " charges as notified". should I put this in the first column and also the letter says at the end " I calculate you have taken x£'s plus overdraft interest but I though you didn't include this figure yet ?????? very confused

So HSBC have not responded to my LBA for the outstanding amount (between the partial settlement figure and the actual figure I was claiming for). So now I start with Moneyclaim to get the remainder.

 

Between the partial settlement acceptance and now I have had another unauthorised overdraft charge put on my account, can I add this to the outstanding claim?

 

Also I guess that the 8% interest I can add is just on the outstanding amount? If so how do I calculate this - i.e. since I have already accepted a partial settlement how do I decide which charges constitute the 'outstanding amount' in order for me to calculate interest..?

 

Lets see what happens!

hi pigdog im not an expert on this but from what ive read, my beleif is, that you charge them the 8% interest on the whole amount claimed for. The HSBC seem to think that they can rip you off for your £80 notes plus your lost interest that they have taken from you over the last 6 years, also i think you need to add any charges you have encured since sending your reply for your mcol application, just add it to the top of the data base spread sheet.
