Moved from DMP to manage my own debts (see other thread, where this might get merged into).

Specifically though, is the attached letter.

It seems they're stating they'll restart charging interest - although they stopped it when they defaulted I went onto a DMP.

Are they just allowed to reinstate it like that?  I've kept up payments (and even increased them).

  • dx100uk changed the title to Newday re-starting interest after not having paid it for a year whilst on DMP

BS only lasts for 6mts, so for 6mths they've allowed you own DMP.

id simply write to them informing them of the fact or ignore the letter and keep an eye on the balance

if it does increase with interest

comeback here and we'll find a snotty letter to send them.

but if you've not informed them nor any others they are now in a self manged dmp - how do they know?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

No they haven't. Since being on the DMP I've had a DN and account closure letter (Sep/Oct 22) through the post from them.
In my online account, I had a "Please get in touch" and "Please fill in our income/expenditure form" when I moved from DMP to self managed DMP (July 23) and now the breathing room letter.

No notice of sum in arrears from them at any point, before during, or after DMP
