Hi,

Originally had a secured loan on my property, but sold the house.

At the time Welcome Finance did not take all of the money back but "converted" the loan.

I could no longer make the payment and defaulted on the agreement in May 2010.

Welcomes entry on my credit file disappeared a few weeks ago,

but this week it has reappeared as MKDP LPP.

The paperwork from the "converted" loan shows my parents address

(where I was resident after selling my property) as the "secured" address.

Obviously I have no rights over my parent address nor do Welcome Finance.

Just wondering about next steps...

that's not right

i'd check land registry site

and be sure there is not one

prob just a typo slipped in somewhere

this converted loan?

what do you mean by that?

welcome made a new phantom agreement over the phone

i'd be getting an sar off to welcome

and a CCA request off to MKDP.

what are the details of the original loan.

when how much

I have checked the land registry site and there is no charge on my parents house - phew!

So when the house was sold, they took a sum but not the whole amount that they were owed from the sale. The loan was secured on the property. I was then asked to sign some paperwork for a loan on the new amount(my memory of this is not great as was going through a messy divorce at the time). As I did not have any assets at that point, I am guessing the converted the previous secured loan into an unsecured loan - after a few months I could not keep up payments and defaulted in May 2010.

I will get the SAR off to Welcome and CCA off to MKDP - or should I wait to hear from them first??
