Not sure where this belongs so please move if needed.

Received a letter off Past Due this morning regarding a Sky account.

I last had Sky at a previous address 2 years ago and called to cancel my contract before moving as my new property wasn't permitted a sky dish. As far as I was aware the lady on the phone said my contract would be cancelled in 30 days time.

I've now received this letter stating I owe £189. Considering my sky package was roughly £30/£40 a month, I don't see how they've got this amount?

Any suggestions as to what I do now?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

PDCS do like to do this a lot... You dont have to deal with them... Just send an email to the execs office @Sky... Thisll sort them out.

Hi

I saw something very similar yesterday. Wonder if Sky are trawling their debt database and flogging them on?

Past due-ignore

Sky, complain!

You may need to do a SAR to get your account history. Hopefully it would show when you made the call to cancel. Why else would you ring them as you were moving.

This is the email address for the CEO.

Sky call centre staff have a tendency to ignore what you're telling them - they will claim there is no record of a call made with regard to something, especially if it means Sky lose money. Send an email to the Executive Support Team and outline your complaint and tell them they have only a few days to sort it before you take the matter further. Insist! Tell the debt collector to crawl back under his stone.
