DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Yes the first letter on your post, they just refused it straight away though. And have been calling day and night ever since. Is it possible to make an offer now they've sent the default do you think x

you sure its a DN?

not a NOSIA?

notice of sums in arrears? [ hence the £12 fee?]

DN's don't carry a charge.

anyhow.

regardless

neither of those two letters

stop you paying

if you are happy you owe the money

then you should be making some kind of goodwill gesture toward the debt.

you've asked them to reciprocate

they haven't.

you could send letter 2 as well.

nail you intention to your flagpole

the fact that they refuse to help you

will go against them dearly.

Absolutely we do owe the money - other creditors have been fantastic and can't do enough to help but these have been awful and I just haven't had the energy to deal with it either way.

It does say Default notice on it I'm sure but will check again when I get home from hospital.

So my plan is now to send letter 2 with good will gesture of £1 per month and back date - they can't say we haven't tried then at least.

Thank you

great idea

stick by your plans

its YOUR money

they SHOULD be helping.

if you have an internet banking webportal

that's by far the best way to do these goodwill payments too.

Ok yes I guess it's pretty fast that way too - I will get all this sorted ASAP and await their response - not holding my breath though!

Do you think this is the way to go then even with the default notice?

Thank you

DN makes no odds..

in fact it helps you.

I would not be using any other method [DD SO] just use BACS when it time to pay

that way you have a record on YOUR statement WHEN YOU paid.

please do not fall for all the threat-o-grams on any debt

now go check the others.
