no in a word, the only interest you can claim is on the amount by ehich unlawful charges have taken you over agreed overdraft limits or the 8% ststutory interest when you take a bank to court for unlawful charges - sorry!!!

Just out of interest (excuse the pun) is there anyway we can claim back interest on Loans?

 

Yes, you can claim anything you like, as long as you can make a reasonable case for it. "Reasonable" does not mean the bank will agree with you ... I think it just means the judge, reviewing your claim, will not dismiss it before giving you a chance to argue it.

 

If the defendant disputes your claim, they can turn up in court and try to persuade the judge to see it their way rather than yours. That
