Yes, its a standard response, don't worry about it, there's no way that they'll let it get to court.

I'm expecting the same response in the next few weeks.

Start a thread to keep us all informed. There are a few Natwest people at this stage now so you've got support.

Good luck!

You wont need to start again. At some point they were challenge that you have not given them enough details of the charges (this is standard) so you will be able to add any charges up to that date with interest then.

I don't think it's quite that easy. These new charges do not form part of your claim and Cobbetts would be able to refuse to pay these. At settlement you can ask that these be added, but ultimately you may have to start a new claim

You may be right Michael, however, if Natwest claim never to have seen your schedule of charges, which they seem to do, how will they know what charges were on your original claim. Your end figure will change slightly but this would change with the extra daily interest anyway.

The donation is coming, don't you worry, and I'll do the survey, however, this month, believe it or not, Natwest has hit me with £250 worth of fees. I haven't sent anything back yet, do you think I can demand these back too?

So there's no quick way of claiming them back? I haven't replied to the original letter from the RBS yet, asking me to, I was thinking about asking for the charges back in that letter, or threaten to start litigation again? Anyone done anything like this?

Hello!

I wrote to Natwest asking that they pay me back around £400 of charges...they responded straight away offering me £254.60 (odd number?!) and I would have to sign a form saying that I wouldn't try and get the rest back at a later date.

The thing is, I don't know whether to take it, I want the full amount but the letter says that investigations into this area are now only on credit card accounts, and not banks? Did you have a similar experience?

They sent me word for word the same letter. Ignore it. They try and fob you off, then scare you off, hold steady and you will get it.

Hi Bazzlad

I am new to this, but just want to confirm the following:

the charges you are claiming for are the charges you incurred for being overdrawn, or for being over your overdraft limit? I am confused as to which one it is before proceeding.

Please help.

Stuart

What is the telephone number to chase up for my statements? I sent off my cheque for £10 three weeks ago, along with the letter from the templates section, but have heard nothing. Thanks in advance!

I will PM you the number for the correct department :D

OVER your overdraft limit.

Overdrawn interest is as far sa I'm aware fully legal and you can't get it back unless you can prove that their charges SOLELY caused you to be overdrawn and thus incur interest.

There's an entire forum dedicated to templates, just make sure you understand the process before you begin. Read up a little.
