Hi,

I approached a company recently about reclaiming charges they said I had a very good case.

I am going to do it all myself.

My mortage company DB Mortgages has sent me a letter stating FSA ruling and how they must contact those affected.

The letter says to approach them first to discuss any failings/ complaints.

Should I talk directly to DB ? as I really dont trust them.

Will this affect any claim I then make?

Please advise

Thank you.

Well ive spoken to them,im supposed to be receiving a cheque shortly for the fees that they over charged for etc.I have the statement for all the charges made on our account, so I will be able to compare what I think is correct, and their figure. Regarding all the other issue's ie mortgage term beyond normal retirement age, arrears handling etc im just starting down that path.

I do believe they treated us badly, incorrect mortgage statements, misleading information given in court.
