Here's a wee tip.

 

I know it's a hassle and that you shouldn't have to do this in the first place, but that aside...

 

If you do call the premium rate number, you can take your phonebill back into the store and ask them for a refund of the call cost. Their system even has a "goodwill payment" code, and amongst other things it can be used for this. The training manual even says this, in case the duty manager disputes your request!

 

In terms of leaving faulty stuff in the store, it's a bit hit-or-miss.

 

I saw it done twice.

 

One guy followed it up with a letter to head office, copied to our store manager. He got a refund plus some vouchers.

 

The other guy's product got nicked from our store 30 seconds later and he got nowt!

If you paid by credit card they are jointly liable… then if you miss paying them you get charged.....here go round the mulberry bush... the mulberry bush...the mulberry bush
