Ok,

I sent out the 'Request fr Repayment of Charges' letter to Barclays on 21/8/06 claiming for a total of £1,230. Today (26/8/06) I got a letter from Barclays saying the following:

"...All correspondence has now been passed on to me in accordance with our internal complaints process. I am committed to resolving your complaint as quickly as possible and I will investigate the matter thoroughly with due regard to your comments.

I expect to be able to contact you again by 19 September.

Please find enclosed a copy of our complaints leaflet, which explains how we will deal with this matter."

The letter I sent them clearly states:

"I will give you 14 days to reply to me accepting, unconditionally, my request in principle and letting me know a date by which I will receive payment."

19th September isn't within 14 days.

What should I do next? Wait and hope that they eventually repay me the money? Something tells me I should maybe move on to the next step.

BIG thanks in advance, guys & gals!

-Ben
