hi, i was just wondering if i could send off for my statements using the roll number, its for my old halifax account, i dont have the account number anymore but went into the bank today and they told me they only had the roll number

DPA Halifax Acc 1- 27th June 06

Acknowledement - 14th July 06

Request of payment from me - 21st August 06

Rang them stating paid charge for statements - 21st August o6

Told me they would be sent out next day - 21st August 06

DPA Halifax Acc 2 -29th August 06

DPA Barclays - 29th August 06

DPA Halifax Visa - 29th August06

DPA Halifax Acc 2 - received 30th August 06

I would send the £10 dpa postal order, regardless. Not sending the money could result in you not recieving your money sooner. Even through sometimes they will provide it for free as a informal request they could write and state they wish to recieve payment first. Its not like you will not recieve it back in the end!

25th May sent Data Protection Act recieved 19th June

20th June Request Charges Letter Sent

29th June £170 offered..

4th July LBA sent

16th July £507 offered

25th July MCOL claimed

30th July Deemed Served

15th August Applied for Judgement

24th August Paid out in full

Dont send 10 quid, if you want charges we'll provide em free as an informal request.

 

I'm sure this is intended as helpful advice to save you parting with the £10, but please DO send the £10 fee. In all likelihood, the Halifax will only charge you £5 max, but it is vital to have offered the fee in order to save possible trouble ahead.
