Hi

Have sent DPA letter to Lloyds, just starting on, what seems to be, the long road to fighting the big boys for what I am entitled to.

Any advice would be appreciated. In the meantime I have many more companies to approach.

Have received my statements from Lloyds ( amazingly before my request for them was even received by Lloyds, according to the Post Office track & trace). Anyway it seems I have just over £1000 to claim back, so here goes, will be preparing next letter tomorrow.

I would be grateful for some advice on the best method of contacting Lloyds; email, recorded delivery or straigh to my branch.

Prelim letter sent recorded delivery to Lloyds today with spreadsheet attached. So as I see it my first deadline is about the 5th October at which point I will send my letter before action.

I am feeling a little nervous now, but getting lots of inspiration from reading all the threads and I am sure I will be able to muddle through. The thought of eventually having just over £1000 in my back pocket is helping to keep me motivated, not to mention the great feeling I am sure comes with getting one over on Lloyds !!

Prelim letter was delivered to Lloyds today, the clock has started ticking. :)

From what I have read here they wont pay up without a fight, which is costing them more money, but that suits me.

Yeah, your right, they do kick and scream a bit. Its all bluster and bulls**t though, just a feeble attempt to intimidate you, so take no notice and stand your ground and you'll get whats legally yours soon enough. Just think of it as if your moneys in a savings account. At 8%APR its a damn good one too!

Can anyone help me. I read somewhere yesterday that any "overdraft usage fees" should not be included. I have found several of these on my statements over the last 6 years and they are for £25 each. I assumed that they were to be included and so I did.

Would be grateful of any help. Thanks

Yes, I think these are default charges, so they are re-claimable. My LTSB account never had an overdraft though, so I'm not 100% sure - hopefully someone else can confirm.

I have received the usually response from Lloyds so I am pushing on with the next step. N1 almost ready.

I just have one question..........When I started with the prelim my charges went back to Sept 2000, can I still include these charges as they are now over 6 years old or is it essential to now only go back as far as late October 2000.

Any help gratefully received.

Hello, I hope everyone had a good Christmas & new year.

I am affraid I have not yet been in a position to submit my court papers, but I am now ready to do so, with renewed enthusiasm, just a couple of queries first.

Having completed the form back in October I was wondering whether any new issues had come to light, Is there anything I need to add? I have been reading the threads and cant see anything, but would just like some reassurance, I feel a little out of touch at the mo. I shall continue to read as many threads as possible.

Do I need to send another letter before action because of the delay?

I would really appreciate any assistance. Thanks

Hi Gemric - welcome back!:)

Just go ahead and file it. A couple of months delay won't do any harm. I suppose you could re-issue the LBA if you wanted too, but its not essential.
