Can anyone advise, please?

Sent off 3 LBA's over 14 days ago and no response so filed Moneyclaim yesterday. Unfortunately when I checked the figures again I realised that for one of the accounts the spreadsheet of charges was wrong (some months put March instead of May and a few charges mixed up i.e. £28 instead of £30) I don't know how this happened, my mistake obviously.

The overall claim for that account is actually less than I had informed them I was claiming but do you think this will affect the claim?

Any advice much appreciated.

Many thanks

You can correct this when you do the Moneyclaim - it is your last chance to alter the claim value (such as corrections or new charges that have been applied to your account) and the claim becomes fixed at that point.

Jeep (The Wife & I)

Halifax joint a/c (£3800 charges + £40 interest on charges over 11 years) - paid in full 23/06/06

Halifax joint a/c new charges £1100 - LBA sent 02/08/06

Halifax 2nd a/c (£1500 charges + £150 interest on charges) - partial payment received 13/07/06 (no s69 interest) - AQ filed 07/08/06 - Court awarded 50% of s69 interest (Bank didn't turn up!)

Halifax Visa (#1) Data Protection Act sent - statements arrived - £350 so far

Halifax Visa (#2) Data Protection Act sent - refunded £170

Once you have filed your moneyclaim online you have a short time to cancel the claim. You must call MCOL before 10AM the very next morning because this is when the previous days claims get processed and sent out.

If you catch it in time you have to correct the errors, place a new claim and pay again. You then email moneyclaim with the old claim number requesting a refund of the old money and wait.

If you miss the deadline, Im affraid that you have lost the right to a refund so in that case you can keep it as it is and not loose your payment or cancel the claim and put it down to human error.

Thankyou for your replies - sadly I didn't make myself clear!!

What I actually meant was that when I sent the LBA's, I miscalculated the charges at that stage. The info in the Moneyclaim was actually correct and so it looks like this will be OK judging by your responses.
