Hi,

Due to money being tight I entered into a concessionary payment arrangement with GE money.

I recieved a letter the other day from CL finance who explained that they have taken over my account and I should continue to make the payments as aggreed with GE money.

However, I've just checked my credit file and it's showing as 4 payments late.:-? The lady said to me that it will go to 6 payments late but not a defaut as I'm on an arrangement.

I wish I'd never done it. This is going to muck up my credit file isn't it? I am up to date with all other cards/ mortgage etc. When I suggested that I pay the arrears owing so it wasn't down as late any more she said that would not be possible and it would have to go to six months.

Any help greatful

  • 2 months later...

I was wondering if anyone could maybe help O.K Here we go...

I sent a CCA request to CL finance on the 23rd of December- I was on a reduced payment arrangement with my horrible Dorothy Perkins card for a couple of months as I was a bit strapped for cash. Anyway they sold it on. So when I had the letter from CL I sent them a cca request. Had a letter back after the 12 days saying- we are trying to locate your credit agreement etc but as yet there has been no sign. I've continued to make token payments towards it anyway as I was sure they were going to find it- I checked my credit file a month ago and it was still on there. I have checked it again this morning and any record of my card or CL finance has gone. beerchug.gif Result! But I'm really suspicious-They have sent me a statement aswell after a few months of nothing.

What do you think is going on. I'm still up to date with my payments with them and am scared not to pay them just in case it ruins my credit score- am hoping to remortgage soon you see. Do you think I should ask them for a final settlement since there is no CCA.

Many thanks for your help:?

Chloe

I took the card out in 2000. I haven't defaulted on the payments or anything. It's all very odd. Why would they sell it if i am paying them?

Thanks

Who knows

They may not have sold it on, just passed it back to the original creditor.

You'll soon find out when the next lot contact you.

The credit file info may have been updated because they can't get the CCA.

Got the post this morning and my CCA from Ge capital bank dorothy perkins has turned up with a letter from CL finance saying sorry for the delay!

I have made some payments towards this since christmas when I requested it but it is no longer on my credit file.

Will it go back on now? Is there a letter I can write to them- surely 6 months is unacceptable!

Thanks
