  1. my fingers didn't quite explain that... what i mean is: i believe i read somewhere that defaults are not removed, even if the debt is latterly shown as settled. dx100uk
  2. have a read of my thread since we last conversed i got the 8% from just two letter its now in the successes section dx100uk;)
  3. 3b should do nicely dx100uk
  4. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general-debt/48600-someone-owes-me-money.html issue them an invoice? maybe then it starts the legal [written] process sounds good to me! might help dx100uk
  5. on what grounds are you saying the default is wrong & should be removed? if the dates are correct then it went to default a couple of months before you cleared the debt. if you did default then surely it is right to stand there but not for 9 yrs 6yrs yes! unless i've got it wrong about defaults should all be removed if an account is settled? dx100uk:)
  6. have aread of my thread in the success sticky. i got the 8% without asking & after only two letters. from their reply to me, they were then under the impression i was intitled to get 8%! i'd use vamps com cont int spreadsheet and see if it is worth it. i dont think anyone has got it from co-op though. dx100uk:D

    Advice please!!!

dont be fooled, they do have it. start a thread in the barclay forum & have a look for a thread on microfilm - they are wrong. i think is the title. good luck we are all here to help dx100uk
  8. i would be inclined to have a look at a few threads here: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/debt-collectors-debt-collection/ and start your own one too!. it looks to me as if a DCA has 'aquired' your details from p'haps a 'bulk-buy' of supposed outstanding debts, from some company. first thing is not to worry!! a DCA has NO POWERS!! just view them like you would a telephone chaser they can't take you to court nor file you as bankrupt. it might just be an idea to fire of a CCA request this will cost £1 & they HAVE to respond with a copy of the agreement signed by you, related to the debt that they are chasing you for. normally this will cause them to forget all about it! the other thing to remember is, if it is older than 6yrs, then it is statute barred....meaning tough luck.. to late to for them to get it back. sadly, these co's do try it on & intimidate people. just remember to include the line of: i do not recognise any debt to your Co. if you do send a CCA request best of luck and we are all with you dx100uk:)
  9. according to what i have read on other threads, you can add new charges till you file your court claim just make sure the court/bank get copies as normal. dx100uk;)
  10. what letter my mate dca!!! never got it...nearer to 6yrs by another 2 weeks..keep going. dx100uk;)
  11. look in the Debt Collectors and Debt Collection Agencies section it is a letter, with a £1 fee that requests them, by law, to send a copy of your signed credit agreement etc dx100uk:D
  12. plenty of info & support in the threads here have a good read looks like std practise for them just to make you sweat. we are all with you dx100uk;)
  13. time for the next step then, me thinks http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/25457-guide-reclaiming-bank-charges.html?garpg=8 dx100uk
  14. they are only a DCA and they have NO POWERS view them like walking telephones chasers they cannot put it to court just like that! many weeks away, ... it is quite probable the extra money is charges etc but i doubt they have introduced these. it might be an idea to SAR barclays to get a full six years worth of statement & take it from there. once you have done this your A/C will be in dispute, so lowells will have to back off and refer it back to barclays. see the step by step instructions sticky and away you go. another thing is how old is this A/C? if it getting close to 6 yrs it is almost statute barred. dx100uk:D
  15. you might well find this thread useful http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general-debt/74733-credit-agreement-application.html?highlight=dx100uk dx100uk8)
  16. std stalling letter just ignore it and keep to your timetable dx100uk:rolleyes:
  17. wonderful news well done!!!!!!!! dx100uk;)
  18. hehe i should have done that too! just had the same. me £10 has been credited to kays a/c.what muppets!! dx100uk;)
  19. bearing in mind this is 10yrs ago i am trying to remember the process we used to have to go through. i think that this form was a duplicate ie the white/pink/green things. the customer kept one, we posted one, and i cant remember on the third [kept by shop?]. then we got back a list of the numbers of agreements we had 'sold' at the end of the month & we checked them off against our kept copies then destroyed them. dx100uk:cool: it gave the customer 'X' product but the card followed later. and yes i think it is a signiture or at least a square stamp? would be interested on a closer scan ?
  20. eh this is fun can i have a magnifying glass! it does too, so how as you've two have spotted is it not signed on their side. we used to have to sign them with the customer who took on the credit and got a number back [like the one top right] . some of the forms had to be posted off then went back to the customer again, looks like its not completed it journey dx100uk
  21. it does not say this is a credit agreement it just says 'credit agreement regulated by the consumer credit act 1974' it is a copy of the standard shop application form, which will have text in the bottom right hand side box to the effect of 'i apply for a RBS credit card account etc etc.' ......by signing in this i agree be bound by the terms & conditions etc etc. now if it IS a correctly received credit agreement is another matter, and it might be all there is to 'bind' the customer to a credit agreement. but never the less it is an application form. dx100uk:rolleyes:
  22. well i think you after seeing if your file has been defaulted by capquest or egg...? well doing that will not alert them. it is simple to do just use the experian website & for £2 [if you find the right link] it will be sent to you, or you can do it on-line now for free, but watchout, unless you cancel the membership, they will bill your card. that should atleast give you the info to start with. as for claiming back the charges, if its not past 6 yrs old, then you need to weight up if the charges out do the balance & the chasing that may happen. good luck dx100uk:D
  23. there are quite a few successes of charges in te barclaycard forum but i dont think anyone has nailed the stealth ppi yet. what i really dont like about is the 'its not insurance' bit. that stinks. they must know it is of no use else why make a token repayment of the premiums already paid! what i am toying with is to fire them off a reply now, just doing what they have done and repeat my full claim for it, warning that i will be SAR'ing them on the 23rd, so please find the tape! would certainly show i am serious about it me thinks. dx100uk;)
  24. i think you just put my id [dx100uk] in the collaborate box tab on the right. dx100uk:)
