  1. sorry to confuse you with Andover:confused: , they come later:p the charges are being dealt with there, and all your standard letter replies will have an Andover address, stick with the address that you have, and happy claiming:D
  2. thinkfirst, have you looked at the libary, it gives you templates for all letter's, you just adjust to suit your circumstances:D
  3. Hi thinkfirst, just responding to show you are not alone:) someone will come along who knows the answer to your post, and if you carry on reading the posts your bound to come across someone else in the same situation as yourself. question are you going to claim charges on current and loan account? as thats how I am reading your letter asking for banking history. (bound to cause confusion at Andover;) ) you will still get the standard letter back:D . sorry got to go to work, but will keep an eye on how you go:)
  4. Thanks for the above Dave, it has helped to clear the old brain cells:) and yes keep the issues seperate, I was muddying the waters. I think Amber credit has gone down the default route because of the problems I had with Nationwide. (my post, FOS DD's and me) they must think I'm canceling the dd's willy nilly:rolleyes: . I'm writing the letter to Amber now:D
  5. Oh, qell surprize:rolleyes: received letter this morning from NW, sorry to hear your not happy but you were told:p down to my local branch on monday to get all the details re phone calls, and being told it would be waived as was the first time. no doubt after that I shall be getting the LBA letter done. here we again, shall be adding Nationwide to my signature, still I like the pretty colours, got to get some enjoyment out of this:D I'm now going to take this out on the garden and do some serious physical work as ALL my post this morning was from So and So's, thats putting it politely trying to bleed me dry:mad:
  6. update, acknowledgement of service filed 2/5/07 as predicted:D
  7. are they clutching at straws? finding the one's that are not on this site and can be brow beaten:mad: dirty tricks indeed. since when did they start calling to say dd's would not be paid? (dd's are my thorn in the side) could it be brought up in their defence that they had tried to avoid the charges situation arising? surely that defeats the object of the dd system? ehmmm:p well done for standing your corner jailbird, we are the lucky few keep smiling:D
  8. Help please, House n contents insurance via internet, Bedford Ins (brokers), insurance with MMA, DD's with Amber credit! This gets messy, rang MMa to enquire way forward with a possible claim (not sure at that point as £100 excess) issued with claim no, renewal through from Bedford 3 weeks later increased by £112, I rang to find out why, and was told " you have made a claim", no I had'nt. "you would have to pay eventually anyway" no I would shop around again:-x . 3 months later went forward with claim, as had quotes etc, no response from MMA keep ringing email the person dealing with claim, felt like I was being avoided, 2 months later, different person tells me claim has been denied, I should have been informed weeks ago! Get in touch with FOS, MMA get in touch with me, now in dispute. Now, DD to Amber going out on day money going in (16/4), Nationwide tell me "you will have to cancel it" otherwise you will be charged:-x rang amber on 01256 could'nt be put through sent email to helpdesk re change date of dd (12/4) Have to ring 0870 (no) cancel dd,wait for automated letter to reset dd with 2 months to come out, letter from Amber (18/4), reset dd and pay £20 admin within 7 days Could this be bacause of the bothers I am having with NW FOS AND ME (my thread). Sent dd to amber (23/4), today received default, breach of payments arrears for £24 (3/5). 1) am I covered at all as I am in dispute with MMA (or are they not connected as amber deals with the credit) got me by the short n curlies:o 2) Do I have to pay the £20 admin charge? 3) as I have sent in new dd instructions can they take the £20 with the dd. 4)can I cancel DD again and send the money each month by SO or bank transfer? am I legally allowed to do that? have no problem paying set amount, (have no cheque book or cards). dispute with MMA still on going. 5) should I cancel insurance or am I gonna be hit with charges from all directions? 6)trying to find advice on DD's on the net, but it is all directed towards companies, and how wonderful they are as there is LESS chance of human error:rolleyes: is there a consumer site? Any help advice or comments gratefully received, I just seem to be fighting all the way, and I'm exhausted:sad:
  9. Couple of points, 2.2 H premium rate telephone numbers, I thought they all used them, do they have to supply 0800 now? 2.10 D applying unreasonable charges, does that cover the £20 admin charge for taking on the debt or 10%? can we refuse to pay this? 2.14 limitation period, how long out of curiosty is this?
  10. Hi robolint, now you get the standard letter back, so familiarize yourself with the FAQ's and ready yourself for the next step. I am helping my daughter reclaim £135, no response from the LBA, so she will be taking the claim to her local court on monday. Keep checking your account, as some people have had monies paid in without notification (lucky things:) ) Happy claiming:D
  11. Thanks for your reply Squall, kinda gets you down? thats putting it mildly:) I have'nt started a claim with NW (yet:D ) but I think all banks/bs are standing by their charges to leave you to go down the court route if you can be bothered, which I expect a lot of people will just live with it. The more I'm prompted to think about these issues from this site the more fired up I get:mad: . When do we start the campaign re the cheque clearing system:D
  12. Shoestring have just been going through the NW forum:eek: they are taking a loooong time to reply under data protection as they are snowed under. And yes the light is coming on re GET IT IN WRITING;) . Point of case my post on Nationwide today, I keep beating myself up re knee jerk reaction to ring and sort out the £30 charge. you would think I knew better re the above:o whats your thought on email? to FOS to send hard copy they have, to me? also am going to try and find a site re DD's though I doubt it will give me tecnical stuff, more like its a guarantee blah blah
  13. Hi all, never thought I would have to post on this site, but hey ho there all the same, just different names:rolleyes: . I have an on going dispute with NW and FOS over some DD's they mucked up, have posted in general under FOS Nationwide and me. Now, DD go's out, money go's in same day all fine? Noooo:( called and was told as this was the first time, it would be waived:) letter received charge £30, called and told it had been raised on the wrong account! so who's fault is that? sending another email to the finance dept. This morning received statement, and charges for £30 which we will take in 28 days. Question 1) as the accounts, I have 2 are in dispute are they allowed to make charges? 2)are they trying to make me feel guilty re all the other members? 3)are they total Muppet's? 4)why does it take 2 days longer for cheques to clear in my (basic) Flexi account? is there just one little man sorting through the cheques, licking the envelopes and running to catch the 5.30 last post:rolleyes: or do they just hold them back? Any answers gratefully received:D
  14. No Shoestring, NW have never sent me proof, just as you say letters saying it has been investigated by themselves, and they are happy the email was sent to each company, and it is down to said companies to act on the instruction. I did ask FOS for a copy, but we got side tracked as the conversation went on, and the FOS is looking to an increased goodwill offer. Is tomorrow a good day to request proof from NW in hard copy for my records? so that I can draw my complaint to a satisfactory conclusion:rolleyes: . Watch this space.
  15. Update, the companies are sending confirmation of none movement of accounts on the day in question. Spoke to FOS re ADDACS audit trail, and having a copy of said, very helpful, but I think a DD expert needs to be bought in:confused: so many questions thrown up with no answers. were did the email go if NW have proof it was done? was there 1 number/code wrong that only someone who has a good knowledge of DD's would know. Two of the companies are saying they do not except dd instuctions via email, so why was an email sent?. My feeling is as the DD system works for everyone else:rolleyes: I'm not going to get the answers, but hope that the FOS have a little seed planted:) DD's are the Devils spawn (see Devil Devil:D )
  16. I have never had an offer, and reading the templates, they all state authorise you to take it back out of account, anyone out there sent one of these letters and had the money taken back??
  17. breedsey, perhaps a letter drafted by yourself re the telephone call, add, take this letter as confirmation that you do not accept as full and final, and are carrying on with your claim ?
  18. Oh, so excited, I actually managed to do a signature, this is the first time its come up:cool: still cant get the hang of copy paste though DUH!!
  19. Hi Kazzie, i have been having a read, and on the N244 form it says "sufficient copies for service on each respondant" my belief is that the court takes all 3 copies, sorts it out stamps etc, keeps one, sends one to [problem] and returns one to you, (happy to be corrected;) ) so you saved them a lot of paperwork and postage by taking yours and [problem]'s. I reckon Mr court man was feeling a bit intimated by this empowered woman stood in front of him! you go girl:cool: , I see a lot of me in the way you are not letting Lloyds TSB beat you down, and cannot see from my non legal point of view that you have not done everything possible:D
  20. Hi Riskman, you get up early;) MCOL's Court is Northampton, it will be transferred to your local court to be dealt with OK:)
  21. Breedsey, you need to send a letter re the goodwill amounts, the one saying thank you but I'm still taking you to court for the difference from £3260.37:D if you haven't already done so. just going to find it on the templates. and yes it yours spend it:p
  22. I've still got a buzby (little yellow bird) pendant, can't remember where from, long time ago:D
  23. Kazzie if no one answers your question before you go, I would say yes to 3 copies and ask at the court:) Good luck:D
  24. Hi breedsey, just read through your post again, read post 22 from guidot, re sending letter to [problem]. also further posts are showing you what you need to do next:) Yes court bundle needs to be in 14 days before the 6th june, you need to go to Garyh sticky got a court date and start getting the paper work together. check your account every day incase they pay without notifying you, just read nearlythere's post (have a read) . my court date is the 25th july, I live in a bit of a back water:rolleyes: started in february, so I've still got time to read read and read some:p more
