  1. Hi Benjfrst, not much help now, but if you had done a bank transfer, you do it on the day you choice when there is money in the account. They can't justify there charge's which is why we are claiming them! Have you opened another account? I can not see LTSB letting you close an account which as far as they are concerned you owe money on, even if someone on the phone did suggest it. open another account have everything transferred to it leave nothing in the LTSB account and go from there. I don't beleive it will have any effect on your current claim,( no doubt I will be corrected by someone with more knowledge than myself if I am wrong, but that is what this site is about:D ). Hope I have been some help. Read read and read some:p more Happy claiming
  2. Thanks for that Barty, I dont know how to get the blue bits up:o

  4. darren, no one will admit fault when the DD's go wrong, company says its bank bank says its companys, and we end up between a rock and a hard place:(
  5. I also pay C.A.R.S. by bank transfer, and they are getting their knickers in a twist, I paid for three months, they couldnt find the payments, I gave them all the details, they found the payments, emailed confirmation which I have on file, two months later, I receive defaulted arrangement! oh no I havent:D bring it on:cool:
  6. shoestring my question as well,I beleive companys cannot refuse your method of payment, point in case,I pay by bank transfer, 1st credit said I could'nt do it that way, (I think the banks charge them to much:D ) I said its the only way I can pay, and thats how I do it, I'm in control, they get the money, and I don't go into a sweat coz a dd is due on the same day money go's in and will be bounced:mad: .
  7. thanks for that GuidoT, trying to take things one step at a time, as I get easily confused:confused: and your post has put me in the right direction, many thanks:)

  9. Hi all have received my notice of allocation today, 10.15 on the 25 July, should take no longer than 20 mins, and it is block listed together with a number of similar cases. (you know who you are:D ). should the case proceed to a hearing, it may be necessary for the court to adjourn the hearing to another date. Also says the Defendant should file and serve a short skeleton argument no less than 14 days before the hearing. what does this mean? anyone know:confused:
  10. Hi riskman, I got LTSB's standard response, ie: sorry you are not happy, so went to my local court, as I am fee exempt, being unemployed, and started my claim, LTSB put in a defence, returned the allocation questionnaire (please note all this time I am reading this site, and using the templates library, because yes LTSB will take it as far as they can:rolleyes: and they are trying different tactics). This morning I received notice of allocation from the court ie:the Judge has booked 20mins for me and LTSB to put forward our cases, (this is were I start putting together 3 copies of all correspondance and I will be going to GaryH(STAR) site got a court date with all the relevant Acts etc, my court bundle). Its all here Riskman, and if I can do it you can:D read read and read some more. happy claiming:p
  11. Bert52 seems to want to start debates on a couple of threads i've noticed:rolleyes:
  12. Hi Riskman, I to started of on the MSE site, and after reading here, left a further 7 days before starting my claim, so your not alone;) I,m now waiting for a court date, all the best with your claim. read read and read some m:D ore
  13. you go girl;) we're all behind you;)
  14. also did you say you were unemployed? coz you are fee exempt in certain cases:)
  15. Just read through your thread, I'm exhausted! Is your last post totally positive? I hope so:D
  16. ok idiot, have already been told how to start a new thread ie go to the forum in guestion and click on new thread:o cheers for that HSBCrusher, sorry bit of a computorphobic;)
  17. Spoke to nice lady in court when I put in my HSBC claim, the Judge only comes in 2 days a week, but should be looking at my case next tuesday, no hurry then:rolleyes:
  18. ok, don't know how to start a new thread, but i'm sure someone will put this where it belongs;) Direct Debits! have read through the general forum. my question- money going into account same day as dd comes out. Bank says you will have to cancel it or get charged. DD canceled letter received today from Amber credit "comply in the next seven day or default issued. send new DD instruction plus cheque or postal order for £20.00 admin cost":( In the past with dd's have just set up again with 2 payments taken, is it just Amber credit? do I have to pay the £20 thus saving myself £10 re Bank charges. I HATE DD's:mad: the easy way to pay for who:mad:
  19. who invented direct debits?? the easy way to pay:eek: I should imagine most charges rise from dd's coming out on the day money go's in, or not quite enough to pay them. when did it change that money had to be in on the day before, and not at close of buisness?? And when you cancel dd's to stop you going overdrawn you then have to get it all set up again with the company, causing more agro! DD's have been the bane of my life for the past 4 years and they are EVIL:mad:
  20. Yep wait till the 14 days are up then post the LBA with interest(8%)
  21. Hi robolint, did your request state any time limit? if it did, and the date has passed carry on with your next letter (LBA) and send it to Debbie G. Not sure on the OD, maybe someone else can answer that for you I would suggest be prepared for anything and open a basic account at another Bank/BS
  22. Hi Whatmoney, thanks for that, point taken about not bothering to phone, I'm finding this more and more with companies and Gov depts, getting told one thing, then it all changes. I will double check that she has opened another account, coz I reckon LTSB will call in her O/D, and once again she will go into panic mode, she's slowly learning the way of the world!!!! ps. she has the credit card coz she wanted a loan for a car, they could'nt do that but could charge her 29%, coz she took out cash on the card!!! sneaky eh:mad: thanks for the reply n keep claiming:D
  23. hi su2402, just to say I started with martins money tips, and sent the initial letters from the site, he did make it sound very easy. He also pointed me towards here which has been a god send. As nic says this is serious, and you need to read as much as you can, and everyone here will guide you through it, you are not alone! I have had LTSB put in a defence, my Allocation questonnaire has been submitted, and I am waiting to hear my court date. They are in the wrong:mad: So good luck with your claim, and keep us updated:)
  24. hi nic, yes LTSB credit card has taken a payment from her current account (not a direct debit) and she is just about to do the LBA on the current account. She is trying to get some leeway on her card, as she is unemployed at the moment, so the monies in her account is her JSA:(
