  1. I'm having exactly the same problem but its now gone one stage further, its now been passed to a debt collection agency who are saying the 6 year rule doesn't apply to government debts. Anyone offer me some advice? The overpayment was made in 1995 and they contacted me again in about 2004. I was meant to start paying them back in 1996ish but was made redundant and recieved a letter from them saying i didn't need to pay it back while i was on benifits and they would contact me when i had to start paying. That was the last i heard from them for about 7 years. I was even told by operatives at the DWP that they could only make me pay it back if i went back on benefits. Any suggestions? Its for £480.
  2. Should i send letter 6 from your link?
  3. Spend away, I have not checked back but I presume you have sent a letter saying that you do accept that sum as full and final settlement. No i didnt send a letter but i did call them to say i wasnt going to accept it, and they said that it was to late it was already in my account, so i said i would be taking them to court for the rest of it...
  4. Hi, The £1125.00 that lloyds have already credited me, Would it be ok to spend that or do you advise i leave it until the end?
  5. I read nearlythere's thread, that's where i got the idea of sending a letter into them....
  6. Morning Remus, do i need to send my court bundle in 14 days before my court date is that right? What stage are you at?
  7. Morning... I have sent off my list of charges to the courts, so do i now wait for a reply and then send a copy to SCM? Also, Is there anything i could do to try and still settle out of court, i notice that on another post someone sent a letter to SCM at the stage i'm at now and they settled not long after, could this be worth doing?
  8. Hee hee, Yeah i did remember to put the date back, done it straight away so as not to forget:D
  9. What about if i sent the list with the correct dates on it so thats its just the end total that is a mistake do you think that would look better? rather than all the dates wrong?
  10. I just done my new calculations and its only £6.00 more.... So you think to carry on with my old charges schedule do you? because i would like to send it off tomorrow.
  11. Thank you, have done it now... Just going to do my charges will be right back..
  12. And any ideas how i change the date on my comp please?
  13. Ok i'm just worried that their going to look at my paperwork and see it doesnt match up and throw it out of court?
