  1. I think this will definitely work Is this wishful thinking or does she really believe that spam harvesters are real people that can read????
  2. I have switched my signature off on all my posts on this thread for you Sally. I leave it switched on as it contains links on it for when I am posting advice elsewhere in the forum (hence the reason for mods and SH's signatures appearing on every post). I will try to remember to switch it off where it is not necessary in future as I know from personal experience that it is irritating at times Steve x
  3. Much as I don't have any interest in doing so I am going to answer Lara's question. You only have a 'civil debt' to RLP for the cost of dealing with your actions. This is NOT a fine and is not a punishment of any form. I am certain that if RLP were going to they would have already been in contact. You are perfectlt safe to leave the country permanently and, if RLP wish to pursue you for the money they will have to follow the legal system of your country of origin which is VERY HIGHLY UNLIKELY. I do note that you keep saying that your country of origin is not Britain (I think in every post) but you have neglected to tell us where you were actually born. I am of the belief that his is a spoof post as highlighted before
  4. I don't think that it is Facebook's fault. This is something that has been going on for more years than the internet has been around. Facebook just provides for a new location for it to happen. I think the wife in this instance is lucky to have found out, it is just a shame that it is extremely hurtful. I have recently come out of a short relationship because my girlfriend was unable to keep her knickers on. She slept with 3 different people behind my back in three months (the first 2 being within 7 days of getting together). She met none of these men on the internet.
  5. Hi and welcome Denby, have a good read through the information on the site and when you decide to start reclaiming your charges then please start a new thread under the relevant bank. Good luck Steve
  6. Hi Greenway, I have moved your post as it was hijacking another thread. You will also find it gets a lot more attention in this forum and your question will be answered sooner. Due to it being over 6 years ago it makes no difference whether the bill was paid or not, the debt is now unenforceable due to it being Statute Barred.
  7. I happen to be of the male persuasion too. In fact Littlesally and Bookworm are the only two women on here. I am offended that you stand up for Jonni but not me!
  8. It is Jo, just couldn't think straight when I typed it
  9. Still with the Samsungs, first D500, then D600 now D900 looking at G600 for replacement
  10. I don't know what it is but something about this thread remind me of this gem (before you all point it out, I know that it has almost certainly been put on here 100's of times before but here goes) "After being charged £20 for a £10 overdraft, 30-year-old Michael Howard of Leeds changed his name by deed poll to “Yorkshire Bank PLC Are Fascist B******s”. The bank has now asked him to close his account, and Mr. B******s has asked them to repay the 69p balance, by cheque, made out in his new name. (The Guardian)"
  11. The problem with this is that you cannot be taken off the mailing list as your address isn't on it. You will still get more. Make sure you make it clear that the bricks are a donation to the company that is bugging you, then you are less likely to be pestered under one of the many postal laws.
  12. I will take the opportunity of explaining alterego here as it has been mentioned. Alterego is my other (and only other) username. Many people may ask why I have it so I will explain. I was a moderator during the time of the chat room. In the chat room the layout of a moderator's screen was entirely different to that seen by a basic user and I had a lot of questions such as "what does the button next to the ? do?" and I wasn't able to answer as there was nothing there on my screen. I registered alterego for the purposes of checking things like this as an ordinary user. alterego was known to many people at the time of the chat room to be my username and I used it in a post about trolling knowing that Littlesally knew it was me. I was not trying to hide this fact from her at all. If you would like to see all the other posts that I have made as alterego then please feel free to search. Bankfighter is a username that I used on the LB website, which is why that has been mentioned. I will say here and now that I have never posted anything negative on any other forum and that includes LB.
  13. No, not at all. He is glad he's a man and Lola is glad he's a man For clarification of what I mean both are happy that the first one is a man
  14. As you should know I would never bottle out of anything, you only have to ask one of the frequent angels posters for that. I just thought I had upset you all as there was a lot of crying noises behind me when I shut the door last time
  15. It has already failed the survival of the fittest test by getting caught
  16. Or the Hot dog song by Celine Dione 'I believe that the hot dogs go on' - from Titanic ' I want to staple the vicar' - We are family - Sister sledge
  17. All my friends say that but I tend to Iron everything religiously (well I do draw the line at underwear but everything else). T-shirts, jeans, everything. Even bedding, it looks so much better.
  18. Washing is easy enough, five minutes filling washing machine, switch on. Drying isn't all that bad either, 10 minutes to hang on line, 5 minutes to get in. Ironing is the bit I hate
