  1. They would look at how regular it was. You could claim you were buying items, then sold them as you no longer wanted them and that would be fine. But if you kept doing it regularly then they would be classing that as trading
  2. If you started selling stuff regularly then it would be classed as a business, ebay car boot sales etc. If you buy to sell then it's trading and a business. If a person just wants to sell off some household items then that's not a business.
  3. Capital is how much money you have in total (bank accounts savings etc) but doesn't include debt that doesn't need to be paid straight away. EG £1000 in bank account, £1000 savings and you had a £1000 loan then you were paying off weekly your capital would be £2000
  4. Glad it went well, hopefully the end of it all is in sight. Once you get your calculation for overpayment, I'm sure someone like Erika will check to make sure it's right
  5. Yes it will need to be declared. If you earn about £150 a week from your other job the whole £100 will be liable for tax at 20%
  6. Also when stating how far you can walk measure the distance, 50 metres can be further than you think.
  7. I wonder when they will start asking "Do you use C.A.G.?"
  8. I didn't know till you told me the other day
  9. Also what needs to be looked at is how often the walk is, can it be done every day, and how quickly the person can do the walk again.
  10. I suppose they could also eat the day before to make up for it. PS Don't call me Shirley:)
  11. The trouble with DLA is doesn't take into account variable, you can or you can't Say a people couldn't cook/ feed their selves 2 day a week, but can the other 5, so on average the person doesn't need help, but if rejected what is a person suppose to do twice a week? starve?
  12. When I first went on IB I had that (six I think) both the "advisor" (who was lovely) and me both knew it was pointless. The paid transport 10 miles each way just to sign a form.
  13. And also is your friend in pain when he walks?
  14. Snap I'm waiting for the transfer too. Do you know if your put into WRAG you have to go to see an advisor?
  15. How much savings did you have? how did you come to the £1000?
  16. Wouldn't the OP have needed a fit/sick note to be paid while appealing?
  17. It's mostly a waiting game. They will send you an overpayment letter, take advice on if the amount is correct. Once you know it's correct arrange a payment that you can afford and keep too Then it's the wait to see if they charge you with fraud, again take advice if they do. Edit: It's good that yo are cooperating, and that will count in your favour.
  18. True, to be enforceable it would need a metal sign stating disabled only. And as I believe needs planning permission and would the council £1000+ this is not done.
  19. I'm pretty sure that a person has to be resident at the address to get a bay. (Imagine how many bays there could be if a visitor got one everywhere they go)
  20. Regarding the first question you will get back pay for the last 7 months.
  21. Did the full debt consist of only arrears, or was it part arrears and part wanting to pay balance so you were debt free? (the DWP will have different rules on each)
  22. How do you know no-one is disabled? Personally I would wait a few days and see if anyone parks there.
  23. I did have an medical as part of the reconsideration (normal ATOS lies) so reconsideration was the same. Ended up going to appeals panel and got low rate mobility & care. (I did think I could have got mid rate care, but just happy I won, as I nearly gave in) Beginning of year time for renewal, expected the same as last. On the renewal form I just copied it from last time as nothing much had changed and just expected to end up appealing to panel. Imaging my surprise when I got awarded low rate mobility and mid rate care within a few weeks. So I've had the good and the bad
