  1. I've recently noticed an upsuge of dodgy looking mailings offering to lend me money (ALL SOUNDLY BINNED), makes me wonder where they got my address?
  2. After nine days of blissful silence Lloyds TSB have suddenly started calling me again, had to be a day when I was off with flu so I could take the call. I just hung up, couldn't motivate myself to advise them they were law breakers...
  3. Their website is fun... it says they can identify 'traditional debtor types such as ‘The Delayer’, ‘The Genuine’, ‘The Cash-Flow Problem’ and ‘The Knocker’ What is a 'Knocker'?
  4. It's so easy to be tipped over the edge if you can't for whatever reason ask for help and advice - I'm sure this site saves lives.
  5. 42man, do you have a link to any info about the lady who killed herself? I've not heard about this before.
  6. No she can't , these people are despicable. Someone with more information than me will come along shortly. Chin up!
  7. That site makes for some interesting reading, added to my bookmarks.
  8. Oddly enough they haven't rung me at all today, have they 'complied' with my request or are they maybe just re-grouping, I'll wait and see...
  9. 'Tracking' just means they have left it to be reviewed at a later date, it's been put into tracking on their computer system to be picked up in a week or two most likely. Nothing more than that!
  10. That's a relief! However feeling somewhat empowered by doing something about it I just answered their latest call; went as follows: Hello is that Mrs Debtor Yes it is I'm calling from Lloyds TSB Why? I'm calling because your account... No, why are you calling me at all when I have proof that you have received my written request for all commuinication to be in writing Confused silence followed by click, the monkey hung up on me! Seconds later another call, probably redialed in shocked confusion that I had picked up the phone at last, she said 'hello' I said 'hello' all prepared to repeat myself but she hung up again. I give myself a few points for calm but I wouldn't want to do this xx times a day so their number will now be blocked
  11. I have just signed up for this, however I'm now wondering if they will just keep changing the number they use to call from- we're talking Lloyds-TSB whose calls are begining to really stress me out. Recorded delivery Telephone harrasment letter has been completely ignored and I never answer the phone these days so it seemed worth £3.35 a month to put a barrier between them and me. Choose to Refuse (from BT) Stop unwanted or nuisance calls. What's the benefit? Choose to Refuse prevents unwanted or nuisance calls getting through to you. How does it work? If you frequently receive unwanted or nuisance calls from a particular number, you can block that number from getting through to you. This ensures your peace of mind and, if later on you change your mind, you can lift the block and allow the caller to contact you again. (Unlikely!)
  12. BABYHOLLIE Just to add my welcome too, I'm new here also, had I not received a letter threatening a Stat Demand from Con-artistes I would never have found my way here, that letter made me feel almost suicidal for a couple of hours (and I didn't think anything could make me feel that way) then I pulled myself together and did some research which brought me here. Con-artistes have now backed off after receiving a CCA letter - still waiting for the agreeement - and I'm now very quietly waiting for a shot accross my decks from First Credit. Chin up, we're all here to help each other!!
  13. When I lived in a shared house some years ago and someone was opening mine and everyone else's mail, I contacted the post office and was advised once the post has gone through a letterbox anyone on the otherside could legitimately open it...
