  1. I'm guessing my unconfirmed letter was received based on the info in posts above, if I get anything from the creditor which suggests it was not, I will send it again by Special Delivery, in future anything I need to be sure about is going by SD - I don't need any more stress! Zazen
  2. I would guess they do record some of the calls for training purposes - if they do any training...
  3. Does anyone know if someone refuses to sign for a recorded delivery, is the letter returned to the sender or left anyway? Why would a DCA refuse to sign, after all it might contain a payment?
  4. Absolutely, which is why I sugested for now just turn it off, I get very few calls and deal with most things via email so this worked for me for a while but I understand it is not appropriate for your circumstances.
  5. Alternatively turn the ringer off or just unplug the phone, before I paid out for chose to refuse and anon call reject I did this, and then just cleared out the messages once a day incase there was something I did need to hear amongst them. It still peeved me enough to pay out in the end to block them as far as I can.
  6. My missing one went to Lloyds TSB but checking my ever increasing files, the last recorded delivery I sent to them at the same address got a signiture, hmm will probably send again special delivery for my peace of mind.
  7. I keep checking the RM site for one, out of three sent last monday, which remains undelivered and I'm wondering how long to leave it before I re-send via special delivery. I'm hoping the recipient will acknowledge receipt and save me the extra cost, but I think by the middle of next week it will go again to stop my nerves jangling, this time special delivery; I'm tempted to send everything that way in future although I can't really afford it.
  8. Curiosity got the better of me and I had to find out what the caller hears when their number is blocked, so I temporarily blocked my mobile number and called myself, the message advises 'the number you have dialled is not accepting your calls' I would love to see their faces when they hear this!
  9. Lloyds TSB continued to call despite two letters one recorded delivery one not; speaking of which any idea how long Recorded Delivery letters take to show up on the royal mail site, I sent two three days ago and nothing as yet on one of them the other confirmed deliverered.
  10. I think this would be a good idea, I''m now paying BT extra for anonymous call reject and chose to refuse, but why should I be driven to this extra expense? Okay with this combination the calls have now dried up but no notice was taken of my verbal requests to stop calling or the recorded delivery telephone harrasment letters. V. unhappy about this aspect out our issues here.
  11. No I've not applied for a credit report anywhere, I thought my financial status must be in the public domain; somewhere trawled by these ambulance chasers.
