  1. Don't bin it - file it OLIVE.FAMILY Have they sent you a true copy of your CCA, if not they may not have it even if you do recall signing it;even then it may not be enforceable.
  2. Very useful, thanks, I had one in a recorded delivery letter which was never signed for, only found out it had been cashed when I made a claim for a refund, this would certainly have been faster
  3. Yes I usually put one my letters, I even used a 'letter before action' one yesterday which was a first.
  4. Two further calls from Oxendales today, second call much the same as above, the third call was made by someone who couldn't pronounce my first name; so I had no option but to say 'there is no-one of 'that' name here'
  5. I would leave it, don't allow them to continue to have power over you. Walk away from it, you do not 'have to do something' - doing nothing and moving on is good.
  6. I had a call from some poor unfortunate from Oxendales this morning, he got the 'in writing only' bit followed by silence. I felt quite sorry for him as he kept blustering 'This will not do miss **** this will not do at all...' as I stood there thinking 'well it's all you're getting mate!' I don't know how long he stayed on the phone, I went off and played some nice new age music featuring Tibetan Singing Bowls and left him to it.
  7. It's the old 'fear of the unknown' thing. It doesn't really work with people who have found their way here, but it does with many other poor souls.
  8. Is the money they are after for calls you made whilst they were still your phone provider? If so then you will be liable for them because they are calls you would have to pay for whichever phone provider you were using when you made them. Or is the debt made up of other or disputed charges?
  9. He would have to give the money back or risk proscecution, one place I worked (a charity) notoriously kept paying people after they left, in one case someone who was sacked was still receiving his salary a year later... Because this was a charity they would request the money back but never took it any further due to the risk of poor publicity, as they had actually calculated how much they lost in donations for every single word of bad publicity. I would guess most employers don't give up so easily. However I would think there was room for negotiation over how it would be paid back.
  10. Is this concerning a BT final account?
  11. I was advised by my manager that she would ignore any reccomendations from OH which were outside the new performance management stratergy, which involves excessive and very negative monitoring, 0% failure targets, this accompanied by a roller coaster capability process leading to dismissal - even tho' they are aware this has made me (and others) very ill. I am also reminded who pays OH's salary.
  12. I had chose to refuse and anonymous call barring on my phone for about a month and then I cancelled it as I could not justify the expense and felt better able to deal with them anyway. However I am still completely DCA call free and I would guess it's because it has gone into their records that I have these services in place and they pass me by. I don't expect this will last for ever, but even as a short term measure this will noticebly ease the pressure from this type of DCA activity. Zazen
  13. Yes I agree it should be a sticky. Most people here are already familiar with what he's saying, hopefully youtube will point some more people in Cags direction. Even with Cag for support my stomach still turns over when I get DCA letters even tho' I know at the first reading they are full of doggydo.
  14. Usually an employer would pay earlier rather than later when something like this arises, although I'm not sure if this is a legal obligation. I'm sure someone will be able to help you with the legal aspect in the morning. Only we stressed insomniacs around at the mo
  15. Pardon my ignorance, what does DWP stand for? Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). (just clicked the link)
